I visited this restaurant whilst visiting Florida in June / July 2013. I agree with the previous poster that the outside is not impressive but the main thing was the food was good and there is parking available at the front.

Driving all the way from Tampa to Orlando had to try the local Indian food scene. The outside of this one is definitely not impressive, probably is one of the turn offs of the place. The 2nd big was no complimentary papadoms, you have to pay 2 dollars for those. Ordered vegetable samosa and papadom for appetizers, and veg samosa... More

We came here after reading good reviews on here. We were not disappointed. We had a starter, rice dish each, and main dish each as well as popadoms and naan bread and 2 soft drinks. Total came to about $36 (This would easily cost me £40 quid back home!!! Each dish was really good and we were happy to take... More

We have been looking for good Indian food since moving to Orlando last year. Now we have found it! Ahmed is one block down and right across the street from the Costco, so we stopped in to have lunch before going to shop. What a good move! We had the lunch buffet on a Saturday -- $9.95. The buffet had... More

From arriving outside looked a bit ropey tattoo studio next door but after going in the food was lovely would go again. The chicken pakoras were excellent and the garlic & keema nann. I recommend you give this place a try .

Pros: Excellent food....excellent food. Best ever coconut/almond naan bread. Generous portions, enough to take home a second meal. Friendly, straight-to-the-point service. Price was good....bill was surprisingly low. Cons: No wine, no beer, no liquor. Nothing. With so many flavors and great food, I was depressed to not have a good wine to make this a masterpiece. Waiter said they don't... More

Not a very nice area. Very unfriendly staff more interested in watching the television running constant Bollywood.! NO ALCOHOL of any sort! Food was very average and very greasy, also served very quick like they couldn't wait to get rid of us. Heartburn for the rest of the night. Would not recommend or return, rubbish.

Food was good, but they do not have a liquor license and, thus, no wine with dinner. The server was very knowledgable and help with choices.

My wife is Pakistani and as such we rarely eat at Indian restaurants in the US however, Ahmed's was very good. While not entirely authentic Indian, it was delicious. We had the lunch buffet which had butter chicken, goat curry, two kinds of rice, naan, and several other veggie dishes. Everything had more spice (hot) than most places however the... More

Tried the lunch buffet last week. The buffet had fewer options than other Indian restaurants I have visited, but the food looked fine. Pretty standard fair overall, but the multiple chicken bones in the butter chicken left something to be desired. Lunch for my family of four was over $40 which certainly seems high for the limited selection and average... More
