Pastamore is Closed

Pastamore, at Universal CityWalk. served some fairly non-descript Italian food. Definitely a tourist restaurant. It is now closed and the space is occupied by Vivo, which serves better quality food.

We had to wait a few minutes but it wasn't that bad. We got inside and what a place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have huge pizzas, and the pasta dishes are well proportioned. There is a nice bar selection and the dessert was divine. We can't wait to try them again.

Always like the service and food at Pastamore, visited this week and it was a big dissapointment, service was weak and food was tasteless (from the soup to the risotto), plates were really small in comparison to prior visits; received the parmesan when dinner was over.

Last minute reservation and feeling hungry, we booked into Pastamore at Universal and were very pleasantly surprised in their ability to cook up Spaghetti Bolognese for each palate: more garlic for me (perfect), more spicy for my 12 yr old boy (he cleared his plate) and non spicy/non garlic for my 10 yr old boy (who also cleared his plate).... Visited the day after Christmas 2013. Our party of 5 were initially told that there would be a 45 minute wait, even though we could see plenty of open tables inside the restaurant. We turned to leave and were suddenly told that they could seat us immediately. Food came out hot and was tasty. Good menu options for adults and... More

Had dinner here after a day in the parks. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The food was brought to our table fast, and was very good. The shrimp scampi dish was one of the best I've ever had in an Italian restaurant, and the desserts were very good as well. The restaurant was rather loud, but that it... More

The noise was deafening. The manager did turn it down somewhat but it was unpleasant, the bathroom was dirty and clearly had not been attended in hours. The food was not as good as Olive Garden. The server we had was very good--if only the food was as good as he was. If we weren't a captive audience , we... More

We are not picky eaters and enjoy all food. After our day at Universal and not wanting to eat off a cart at the park, we decided to have dinner at the City Walk. We stopped at Pastamore and decided to give it a try - I should have read reviews about it first! The menu sounded great and we... More

We ate here recently as part of our dining plan at Universal. The food was much better than our previous table service experience at another restuarant in Universal Studios. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We sat outside the restuarant as it was a comfortable evening outside and we really enjoyed our meal while watching the... More
