The Polynesian is under major renovations but Kona is still the same good restaurant. 5th time eating here. Love it! The Veal is excellent, as well as the steak, and my daughter always gets the pan Asian noodles with chicken -very tasty. The atmosphere is very casual, almost like a diner, which some may not like. But the food is... More

I couldn't wait to have Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe, but was disappointed. It wasn't even worth all the hype!!! I love love love bread and cinnamon and sugar, but that's about all it was. It needed something like a caramel sauce or something to make it good. My mother-in-law got the Big Kahuna pancakes with Macadamia topping which was... More

We stayed at The Contemporary, but bused over to The Polynesian for breakfast one day. They have the monorail service starting later than it used to and we opened the place at 7:30, so the easy travel mode wasn't available. Always liked the food and the offerings here. I had the Macadamia-Pineapple Pancakes. Very good and very filling. As I'm... More

This was our first visit to Kona and we took a welcome break from Magic Kingdom for some food. They have a sushi menu here alongside the lunch and dinner menu and my husband and I both chose sushi. It was freshly prepared and tasted great and great value. Our server was attentive and the restaurant pretty quiet so we... More

Arriving on time for our reservation we were surprised to be given a pager. There were exactly 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Yes only 4 and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Are you kidding me? The wings (appetizer) were very tasty, as was the apple cobbler dessert. Waiter was very good. But please get... More

We dined at Kona last Sunday with our toddler. We had a dinner reservation and were seated about 10 minutes after the reservation time. The restaurant appeared small and it seemed a bit as if we were sitting on top of other diners. It wasn't enough to turn me off from coming again though, as the service was pretty decent... More

Decided to make Kona Café our last dinner during our Disney World trip. It was a wonderful meal, which started off with some delicious bread with macadamia butter. We ordered the steak, which was cooked perfectly. We followed up with the crème brulee dessert--definitely a must try! Brenda did a very good job serving us, and kept our glasses full,... More

We had family dinner at Kona Cafe during our stay in Disney World. Food and service was good. They are also known for their desserts. Everything very good. Recommended.

This is my boyfriend's family's favorite place to eat at Disney- we eat there every time we go. This time, we managed to get a last minute reservation for Saturday night. Be warned: the Polynesian is under construction, which takes away a lot of the charm. According to people who work there, it won't be done until March 2015. We... More
