Visited Kona for dinner this very evening based on so many positive reviews on trip advisor. However, it was not the great all round meal we hoped for having also visited the Grand Floridian Cafe, Citricos, Liberty Tree Cafe, Via Napoli, Artists Point, Jiko (and lots of grab and go outlets) this holiday. Not sure why some are raving about... More

Great food and atmosphere. Not even in Hawaii did I have sweet buns with macadamin butter. It was a complimentary and delicious start to our meal. I had the shrimp stir fry so many yummy vegetables! My husband had the steak with broccoli small potatoes and garlic roasted in the skin. My son eat from the kids menu so many... More

The Big Kahuna and Tonga Toast are classics. The kids loved their steak and eggs. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

Each time we go to Orlando, even if we don't visit Disney, we go eat at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian hotel. You should, in any case, stop by this restaurant if you're in the area. Service and food is close to perfection at all times and at reasonable prices, when you compare this to the "casual american dining"... More

I love the atmosphere of both the Kona Cafe and the Polynesian hotel itself. I've eaten at the Kona Cafe for breakfast and dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed both. The french pressed coffee and pineapple pancakes were delicious and the veggie asian noodle dish for dinner was amazing. I like the Kona Cafe so much that I picked it as... More

The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. It's bright (not a good or bad thing) with just one big room with tables and chairs. There really isn't anything in the room to buffer noise and it got very noisy in there at dinner time. We had a party of 9 with a reservation for dinner. We arrived and checked... More

We choose to go to Kona after a day at the Magic Kingdom. A quick trip on the monorail and your there. Food was great with lots of options. Service was outstanding, what you expect from Disney. Only minor complaint was that the seating didnt seem to intimate, but that only a minor thing that is easily overlooked. All in... More

We have eaten at the Kona on several occasions. This time was just as good as the first. We arrived early; about 30 minutes prior to the opening time for Kona. The seaters went ahead and seated us and allowed us to enjoy a cup of coffee and talk while the servers and staff continued to prepare for opening. You... More

We have made it a tradition to eat here every year while at Disney. The desserts are still great, but the meals quality is average at best and not as good as previous years. Also, the prices have reached the point that other options are probably better.

I've been here for brunch, lunch and dinner and have never had a bad experience. I recommend reservations since this is usually the back-up plan for guests who cannot secure a reservation at Ohana or want something a little bit nicer than Captain Hooks. The lobby is currently under construction so fair warning it feels a bit more closed in... More
