What a disappointment for $300 for two people without dessert! The restaurant has lowered their standards to accomodate the steady stream of unsophistiated conventioneers who put the dear tab on the company dime. We were told to wear a jacket, but we were surrounded by tables wearing jeans, pagers, and hawaiian shirts. The poorly trained waiter was blatently anxious to... more

In early March, my husband and I spent a weekend in Orlando and were able to get a last-minute reservation on a Sat. night. We found everything we ordered to be delicious. We chose two appetizers - one a marinated grouper and one some kind of little meat pastry - salads, entrees (we had trouble deciding, so the waiter suggested... more

While the decor and service were excellent, my wife and I were quite disappointed with the cuisine. For appetizers, I had crispy shrimp and my wife had an endive salad. The shrimp were terribly spicy and the salad was very salty. The chef obviously has a heavy hand when it comes to seasonings. We both ordered salmon and it came... more

Don't be fooled by the reviews. This restaurant is not owned or operated by Ritz Carlton and the standard is way below. The size of the portions is very very small. You can pay $14 for 3 little pieces of beets and tomatoes. The staff although is very pleasant. The meal is no reflection of the price charged. There are... more

Thanks to a delayed arrival time, courtesy of Delta, I had the opportunity to bump my reservations out a couple hours. Turns out, Norman's does a really good job, even at 9:30 pm. An interesting Bahamian/West Indies/South American mash-up, the menu provided a nice departure from the ubiquity of the Key West vamp in south Florida. The food was well-conceived... more

We dined at Norman's the last night of stay at Ritz Carlton, and we had a very, very nice meal. This restaurant has all the awards as you come in their doors and they are well deserved. The waiter knew the menu in great detail and could describe the preparation of each dish. We had our wine by the glass... more

Norman's is the best of the three restrautants I visited on my latest trip to Orlando in March of 2008. Emeril and The Palm were the others. While Emeril was always a joy to dine at, especially when ordering the Texas Red Fish and dining on a 14 oz filet with a 4 pound lobster combination is not a bad... more

First, I must explain that we often go to the best restaurants and we also have a private chef, who is a fantastic cook. So we have very high standards and are not easily impressed. With that said, Norman's was an absolutely awful experience. The reason for this is not the food; in fact, the food was fine. We were... more

On a recent trip to Orlando, we dined at Norman's. I am a big fan of the Miami restaurant and wanted to visit the restaurant in Orlando. I was not disappointed!! The service is amazing and the food is always interesting and wonderful. Everyone at our table enjoyed the meal and the unique flavors that makes Norman's such a great... more
