Good but not Great

I had a dozen oysters at the bar in the old style hole in the wall setting and they were fine. The seafood gumbo was pretty good but needed more density to the broth and heavier flavor to dispell the watery texture but all in all it was fairly good. The oyster po-boy was very good. We will go... read more

Doesn't look like much from outside but don't be fooled.. frog legs as appetizers are fabulous. I had the steak which was great. They do a boil of seafood with veggies.I had the potatoes and corn Very tasty. My daughter had oysters and she said they were excellent. We had hurricanes to drink not like in New Orleans but good.... More

...but WOW...what comes out of the kitchen at this strip mall eatery is amazing. The cuisine of the Crescent City is nicely recreated here, and from mouth-watering etoufe and gumbo to oysters (any way you like 'em), shrimp, crab, and catfish. You simply can't go wrong. Even the side dishes are better than average...great reports on the corn-on-the-cob, potato salad,... More

My family and I have eaten here twice in the last 4 days. The first experience was so excellent we just had to return. The waitstaff was efficient, friendly, attentive; the food was amazing. The second time we went the restaurant was packed. The chef was different so the same food we had ordered the first time was different (missing... More

Oysters, fish and chips both good. Drinks okay. Not the cheapest, considering the atmosphere, but reasonable and convenient.

When you walk in it doesn't look like great food, but hold on for it to arrive. Johnny is the owner, I believe Vietnamese, just a great guy, incredibly friendly and fun. Great oyster bar,and they always have some type of special. The Crayfish were wonderfully spicy, the fried shrimp, were as good as I have ever had due to... More

We tried the newer location in Celebration located in the Roomba Hotel on Irlo Bronson Hwy (Hwy 192). If you can get over the depressing 60s-style motel (with the name that is reminiscent of self-propelled vacuum cleaners) that the restaurant is attached to, you will not be disappointed by the seafood. We had a Groupon, but there seems to always... More

Completely Authentic & Delightful...In a small strip mall complete with Food Trucks and music with alfresco dining outside just for color (not connected to the restaurant). When you go inside This place is not fancy but very friendly and the food is right out of Old New Orleans. They were celebrating 16 years in business and we stumbled into a... More

For $35 a friend purchased a $60 Groupon good only at this Little N’Awlins Kitchen (LNOK). I hate to “NOK” a restaurant on the first visit, but this was a disaster. LNOK’s friendly server plopped a plastic bowl on the table with Styrofoam plates inside, along with plastic shell crackers and—surprise!—stainless steel forks. The Formica (plastic) covered table is adorned... More
