In my opinion Taverna Opa is a great place to visit for drinks and appetizers from my most recent experience. I had the fun experience of eating dinner there on a previous visit to Orlando and sat inside with a group. The entertainment was fantastic. I could not wait to bring my family there. It was a beautiful night and... More

We hosted a large business dinner at the Taverna Opa during a recent conference. While the place is "electric", it is a horrible place for a business dinner. The music is too loud to hold a conversation and the dancer was border line with dollar bills hanging off her "bell". Had to keep reminding myself I was at a restaurant.... More

Opa is a great place of entertainment and you can absolutely have fun at this restaurant. The food is decent quality and the excitement levels definitely are great for large groups. My poor rating comes from the poor level of service. Poor service can outweigh great food and when I was there a waitress accidentally spill wine on me. She... More

Don't go there if you want a quiet evening :). It's a fun atmosphere, there's a belly dancer dancing on the tables, they throw white napkins in the air, you can dance a Greek dance all around the restaurant, if you like to eat meat, take the family style dining. Greek salad is delicious!

It was an enjoyable, lively scene during my visit, with belly dancer and active patrons, entertaining. Food was excellent, especially octopus which was tender. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Gerald F. was our excellent waiter. We chose the special which was a grilled, whole, bone-in Greek sea bass (Lavraki): outstanding!!! I am adding a photo. For desert, we tried their Greek Ekmek Kataifi (a custard over walnuts, etc. & with a fairly dense whipped cream on surface): slap me down EXCELLENT! We ate outside...covered seating. Next trip through Orlando,... More

The restaurant was too noisy and kitsch for our taste: bellydancer wanting to be tipped to dance to the table, people dancing on tables and throwing napkins everywhere. The music was not even typically greek, at some point more like club music. It was basically like living a the American cheesy impression of Greece from a movie, where being loud... More

We went as a group of 8, 6 adults, two kids. Had 6:30 reservations and had no problem getting our table. As we walked in, I thought it was a little loud. As the evening progressed, it became impossible to visit at the table. So, our "catch-up on family news" dinner, turned out to be just a fun evening out,... More
