We went as a group of 8, 6 adults, two kids. Had 6:30 reservations and had no problem getting our table. As we walked in, I thought it was a little loud. As the evening progressed, it became impossible to visit at the table. So, our "catch-up on family news" dinner, turned out to be just a fun evening out,... More

WHile at the convention center you really don't have much choices but to eat nearby. This was an interesting place. Did not feel like a chain restaurant. The food was good and fresh. I had the Chicken Salad with grilled red peppers and asparagus. Nice and healthy. Cute interior with family style seating.

Had dinner at Taverna Opa during a week long conference at the Hyatt Regency (short walk) after reservations were made by another in our group. Our table had the family feast and ALL of the food seemed to be authentic Greek and was delicious, especially the chicken, lamb and beef. Belly dancers were an added bonus to great food and... More

My first visit to Taverna Opa was several years ago with friends. We enjoyed a family style dinner with great drinks and food. Not only were there belly-dancers, but the waiters climbed on the tables and danced with the patrons as well. This visit only had the belly dancer. I was looking forward to climbing on the table. Otherwise it... More

I fell in love with Taverna Opa a few years ago and have been there on numerous occasions. Their homemade hummus is my favorite -- you mash it together yourself and it's the best.Though the food is always good, the last two visits were less than stellar. The staff really pushes you to buy their special -- a sampler with... More

I went to Taverna Opa with a group of teens and adults. What an amazing restaurant! The food was great and the dancers were spectacular! So much fun! It was interactive and they danced on the tables with patrons! Such a fun way to spend an evening! The staff was very attentive and fun as well. Loved all the "Napkin"... More

I am really not into the typical "themed restaurants" of Orlando. Having lived here for what seems like forever, I am tired of it. The Greek take on this restaurant is nice as is the food. I ordered the Greek Salad, which was fresh but nothing special. A nice salad with the cucumbers, feta, etc. For $12 or so, it... More

We went to Taverna Opa as part of the annual "Party at the Pointe" sponsored by Visit Orlando. This year, we saved it for our last stop. It is located upstairs, on the way out; and, all the other venues were downstairs, mostly toward the south-end of the Pointe. I only tried the Keftedes (Greek Meatballs), which were excellent! They... More

This was the most interesting place we went. We did not eat there so I can't discuss the food. However, if you want to have a drink, dance on the bar, have a server shoot flames while pouring shots from on top of the table - then this is the place to go!
