Good lunch, decent price

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich from the flame tree barbecue, and was served a generous portion of meat on a nice bun, with a side of beans. The meal overall was good, but the meat and beans could definitely use a little more flavor. The staff at Flame Tree are respectful and kind, and perform... read more

Great proportions. The meat was a little dry but had great flavor. The onion rings were awesome and a huge amount given. As we left the line was very long, I don't think I would wait longer than 30 minutes for it

Four people in our party of five suffered food poisoning after eating lunch at this place. The only person who wasn't affected ate a salad, the rest of us ate different things, ribs, chicken and pulled pork. Makes me wonder how many other people were affected, considering our party ordered from two separate lines. Also spent most of the lunch... More

Compared to the rest of the expensive Disney restaurants this one is a gold mine. Simple decent food at a reasonable price. Pork Sandwich was especially good. Seating outside was very pleasant. Quick service. Watch your food closely due to the heavy population of birds. The small ones scavange for what's dropped but there are some real tall ones that... More

The Hubs and I had lunch here on a cold and windy January day. Florida cold is a damp cold that claws at your bones. We did not realize the seating situation until after we had the our food. Hubs had the Rib and Chicken Combo with baked beans and cornbread ($16.95). He thought the ribs and chicken were good,... More

We visited Flame Tree barbecue on Sunday, January 31, for lunch. We arrived around 1:00 pm in hopes that we could escape the lunch crowd. We still ended up waiting approximately 15 minutes in line. A band was playing across the walkway in Discovery Island which made the wait a little more bearable. Also, the food smelled great so that... More

While the food was delicious (everyone had the barbecue), the dining experience was challenging, because of the weather. There was onlycrowded outdoor seating available, and the outdoor temp was in the 40's. Add overwhelming wind to that, three small children, and you can imagine feeding everyone while the wind wanted to whip away our paper and plastic utensils.

The chicken and rib platter was great. Something two people could easily share. Be prepared to eat outside, with birds very close to you.

Not much has changed from when I visited here a couple of years ago. There are still the same 5 or 6 things on the menu. You wait in line like every other place it the parks and pay the cashier then sit and wait for your food. I did order the same thing ironically however I asked them to... More

Good little restaurant on discovery island which is in the center of animal kingdom. Interesting variety on the menu. The food seems a bit heavy for lunch, but is still good. Not my favorite meal in the park but would eat here again. I got the salad - it came COVERED in dressing. My husband got the turkey sandwich which... More
