Decent Meal

Service was on the slow side at this restaurant, and the food, in my opinion, was a little commercial and not very authentic. Most likely would not return.

The Cuban-Mexican flare is interestingly very good. The restaurant is dated but clean, the owner needs more help as the crowd of customers increased. The drinks were very good. I had the Mufongo with pulled pork and Carnitas with black beans and white rice. Also the Tostones were very good. The price was $12-15 for the average entree. The desserts... More

Food was OK but the service was abysmal! Had to ask 3 times for a to go box and the check. Waited 30 minutes for the check to arrive. Will not return. Save your time and money.

I have dined at Ramirez probably 7-8 times over the past two years. Its a good local Cuban/Mexican restaurant offering the normal fare you would find at similar establishments, but with a few extra menu items that makes it interesting. The food has been consistently good, maybe not great, but still good value for the money. Try the bean soup... More

This used to be a Puerto Rican restaurant, but after not visiting for awhile I was dissatisfied. The new owners are Mexican, Cuban trying to cook PR food! There is no taste to the food, very poorly cooked and they take soooo long to serve.

Worst Spanish food I have ever tasted. The paella was horrible and they should never serve it again. I can't believe this place is still in business.

I am from Jacksonville and I go here pretty often with my fiancé. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and authentic. The owner is very generous and always seems to be in a good mood, I haven't got any complaints. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the area looking for some good food... More

A few friends warned me about this place, but I still insisted to try it out. Horrible food, tasted like it was out for 30 minutes. Beware,

I do not know a lot about Cuban dishes... but I do love pork... and Ramirez has some of the best pork dishes outside of the everyday Florida BBQ joint... you must know everybody BBQs pork... but if you want to try pork in a different style, and you are not familiar with Cuban food, then, you really should try...
