After Lunch on a weekday

Place was almost deserted. A few at the bar and a couple at the tables. Swamp Gator decor an will bet it is a local favorite watering hole. Had lunch menu of deviled crabs and popcorn shrimp. Good house salad. Service very good! The crabs were good but nothing special. The sliced thin chips made... read more

While boating with a group of friends we decided to anchor at Whitey's Fish Camp and have a bite to eat. We were seated quickly and ordered our food. It took forever for the food to arrive. I was not very impressed with the food. Things were not very tasty. There was no flavor to speak of. Not what you... More

It's always fun to write a review when you've had excellent food at a one-of-a-kind local establishment. This place will be really crowded and noisy during week-end prime times but it's worth visiting prime time or non-prime time. We enjoyed the mahi & salmon dinner entrees and were pleased with the quality, service and price. The sweet potato fries &... More

Not impressed with the size of fish. No flavor at all. The scallops were suppose to be blacken but were not. They were served with a tomato sauce. Not what it used to be years ago.

It seems everyone in clay County (Putnam too) gathers here for drinks and fried shrimp or catfish. The food is just okay and if you order anything broiled or grilled you may never get your food. Service is spotty sometimes okay other times forget it. Just a redneck watering hole but always crowded, just not my type of place.

Bar, appetizers, large menu, outdoor seating, good service. I had a seafood trio. We were a large party, they have large tables.

They have such good seafood and drinks, and the atmosphere is a typical, cute fishy camp. If you're a young, single female, don't go alone on busy nights. I'm a motorcycle enthusiast myself, but these people were a bit intimidating.

The only thing that keeps us from eating at Whitey's more often is when the weather is too cold for boating, and sometimes we drive there anyway!! Love the food and atmosphere here, nice docks that you can pull up to right at the back of Doctor's Lake. Service si good and you can even catch sight of some baby... More

Wife and I were in the area getting an R/V repaired. Looked for seafood restaurants nearby online. Decided to try Whiteys. No wait around 5:30 and was seated immediately (both nights). We had steak and scallops. Decided the next night to go again and had dolphin bites, scallops and oysters. Service was great one night and fair the next. Food... More
