We came for dinner - 4 in party total. Beer prices were reasonable, but the main courses were pricey - which would be okay if it had tasted better. I had a pasta with wine sauce and shrimp. I expected large shrimp (we are in Florida) and received it with salad shrimp on top. A big disappointment. My husband had... More

Whitey's has been here since I was a child growing up in Clay County. Great food, wonderful drinks friendly environment, boat launch, bait shop, camping, hair salon. Whitey's has it all !

What a terrific review. You covered virtually every aspect of what we think a customer should be evaluating when choosing a business such as ours. Included in your review was also the mention of the need in our multicultural society for variety. We are pleased to provide this variety to our community and look forward to seeing you again. Thanks... More

This place reminds me of old Florida although it is safe for Yankees. Seriously this is a fun restaurant. We enjoyed some nicely fried seafood at reasonable prices. However the kicker is that as the night goes on it turns into a wonderfule place to see a band

Neat place. Out of towners. Sampler Platter is HUGE. Split and get side salad to accompany. Got the New Orleans Special. Mahi was so good. Too bad weather was cool. Would have been nice to sit outside and watch river. Hopefully return before we leave.

my sister and uncles were both smokers. i dont like the policy of people smoking while they eat. it kills the flavor of whatever you eat. even with that said,. the fish was dry, the hush puppies had nothing special and the waitress seemed more interested in the bigger table and whoever was texting her on the phone.. and it... Great happy hour specials. Lots of food choices from fried to fresh. Great for boat visit. Often busy on summer afternoons with live music and fuel too!

I've been here a few times, mostly fried food, beer, loud music and locals. You can find the same thing pretty much anywhere in NE Florida.

We took a boat ride up to Whitey's Fish Camp, and stopped for lunch. That by itself was pretty cool. I got grilled shrimp, and it was quite good. Everyone else got fried fish, and they enjoyed it as well. The cole slaw is really good. The atmosphere is really fun and relaxed. Like the other reviewers said, it was... More

On our way back from Biketoberfest we stopped in for lunch, my first time to restaurant, extremely cool atmosphere, service was spot on, food was yummy, can't wait to get back for another visit, and has definitely become my go to seafood place when in the area!
