This is a truly unique experience. Grouper on ice. Shrimp cooked eight ways, cooter, and many more edible delights. Absolutely worth checking out! Good food. Good service. Good value. Highly recommend!

We had dinner. The portions are small. The prices are very high. We had fried gator tail for starters and the portion was very small for two people as well as a bit chewy for my liking. The fried shrimp and catfish were good however very small portion for a man to eat. The oysters Rockefeller was not that great.... More

Lightseys would like to apologize for not meeting your standards as it's of the upmost importance to us that all of our customers leave satisfied. When you referred to the whole cat as being 1 to 3 inches we see how it can be mistaken that way ,but in our menu the 1 to 3 refers to the ounces the... More

If you like fried foods than this is your place. Everything is fried and salty. The drinks were weak. Another draw back for me is that the lighter fare such as salads and wraps are only served for lunch. I understand you don't go to a seafood restaurant for salads, but if you don't want fried something you are out... More

I have eaten at Lightsey's several times and the food is okay and the service varies. I like unusual food like Cooter, Frog legs, Catfish, etc and they usually offer these.

On our drive from Sarasota to Palm Beach on SR70 we wanted to find a place to have lunch. After viewing tripadvisor we decided to have some seafood at Lightsey's. We were not disappointed! We were greeted by our friendly server and seated right away. You can sit out on the patio or inside. Service was friendly, attentive and fast.... More

This restaurant is the real deal for all meals fishy. You will be delighted with the choices and will want to return. If the weather is comfortable, eat out on he screened porch and maybe have a cool tropical drink while waiting for one of their incredible appetizers. This restaurant will actually offer sides like collards and turnip greens. Also... More

Whenever I go to SE Florida, I try to plan my trip to stop at Lightsey's for lunch or dinner. The Corn Crab Chowder is superb and they have many selections of Florida casual seafood. Very unique decor....definitely casual Florida at it's best. They have one of the few views of Lake Okeechobee!

My Boyfriend and I went here while staying in the area about a week ago, and WOW, this place is great. Fast service, good drinks, and great seafood. Just about any way you like it cooked too. Also, the staff are really nice, and have a good sense of humor as well. You can sit inside or out on the... More

This place was off the beaten path as we crossing over from the west to the east of the state. The manager told us it had been around for 35 years & was originally a fish house which kept getting more popular & expanding. The (lunch) food was outstanding, with very generous portions. We had lobster bisque, the Shrimp BLT... More
