Fishy name, Great steaks

Great steaks. Prepared to proper temperature. Casual atmosphere, but really good food. The salad, baked potato and sides were tasty also.

In 50 years of traveling Florida, never had gone through north of Lake Okeechobee, but the bride and I stayed in the area a couple of days in early April. Glad we made it to The Perch. Outside a little rough looking, as we entered back/side door into a dark bar only to meet some of the friendliest people ever... More

Please don't waste your time & money. We ordered the T-Bone & Ribeye. Both were full of gristle, tough and had no flavor. Onion rings were just the frozen type. Salads were a joke. Drinks watered down. Expensive ($80) And the only thing worth eating was the Sweet Potato.

We've passed this building on our way home from Ft Pierce several times and the parking lot is always packed, so we decided it has to be good!! We were not disappointed I had the best rib eye that I've ever had with a salad and baked potato. I was pricey but worth every penny. We don't go that way... More

I've had plenty of steaks and have never been this impressed. The sirloin was superb and cooked to perfection. I was definitely be going back. I don't usually review restaurants but this one deserves it :)

Good steak and salad. Came for dinner and were the only ones in the restaurant. People couldn't believe we were in Okeechobee to fish.

We were informed that this building might, at one time, have been a fish processing facility, hence the name. Yet, there are no fish dishes on the menu, mainly steak. We arrived with a large group and were seated in a separate room. It was quite dark in the restaurant and it was lacking in any kind of atmosphere. Perhaps... More

My husband and I occasionally visit the Brighton Casino in Okeechobee. It is about l hr and 15 minutes from our home and a pleasant drive through farmland. Our past experiences with steakhouse restaurants in Okeechobee were disastrous. The steaks tasted as if they had been stored in salt. This restaurant is at the intersection of Route 70 and Hwy.... Spent a few days in Okeechobee and the front desk clerk at the Hampton sent us here. Looks like a little hole in the wall but what a great steak they serve. Great "guys" and lots of fun. Worth the trip. Don't look for fish on the menu. The name is a joke.

We like it! Outside looked really bad, but food was really good. Tables are close together and lighting is low. They really got you in and out, but we had a nice time and was able to be seated in a corner table which was nice because there was a lot of large tables around us. They served a little... More
