We had 10 people for dinner at the birthday. 7 people get sick, were not sure what item made us all sick, it may have been the house made Ranch Dressing, that's about the only item everyone had in common.

We stopped in this great venue for an early dinner around 6 P.M. We were greeted by a friendly and professional young waiter who immediately delivered a relish tray to our table. My beautiful companion and I both ordered steaks. I requested mine with NO SALT or other seasoning which was no problem. But first we were brought two great... More

As stated in other reviews, don't judge a book by it's cover. This place may look run down and not very appetizing but the quality of the steaks far outweigh the lack of ambiance. We met some friends here to as they were in town for a tournament and wanted a nice steak dinner. We each had a different item... More

First time. Don't Judge it by the outside looks. Yes it could use some remodeling, but don't let that change your mind My wife and I had the 10 oz sirloin. It was great. The sweet tea is the best. The service was a little slow. We would come back again.

It is a steakhouse despite the name. There is no fish on the menu. This is a locals place. The first time we went there we saw several cattle trucks in the parking lot, (talk about fresh meat), and once inside you realized why the locals eat there. Many cowboys in the place. Don't go by the outside of the... More

OMG...I live in Okeechobee and hadn't tried this restaurant until recently. Partly because it is in what looks to be a small run down building on the edge of the city accross from a gas station attached to a bar....but mostly because I work all the time. But, I am glad I finally made the time to go and try... More

From reading the reviews it sounded like we would be pleased. The exterior is a dump! Surprised anyone goes there when you see the outside. The inside was dark and dingy. We thought the prices were very expensive, considering the atmosphere. Ordered a 10 and 12 oz sirloin. The onion soup was not hot - just warm. Our steaks were... More

First of all, The Speckled Perch has no fish on its menu, it's a steakhouse. I also thought it odd that the decor seems to be focused on duck hunting, when the local sport is fishing on the Big Lake. Oh well, that aside, the Speckled Perch is a very down-to-earth steak joint, don't expect anything fancy, 'cause you won't... More

We have been to the speck many times over the years the last time was over two years ago then the service and food was well just not good. We decided to return for my wifes birthday earlier this month. Wow what a difference. The place was clean the service could not be better. The food was very good from... More

This restaurant is hard to find unless you know someone in town. This is down home Okeechobee, where you'll find local ranchers and just about anybody who's anybody in town. If you sit at the bar, it's dark, nothing fancy, but the rib eye will be too big for your plate! If you're looking for beef where the locals eat,... More
