This was a wonderful lunch for me and my friend. I am usually reluctant to order spicy in an Indian restaurant but I did this time. What we got was excellent - albeit American spicy rather than Indian spicy. Soup, naan bread, and rice were all outstandingly tasty. I thought our main course, lamb curry, was incredibly good. My companion... More

The food reminded me of my first Indian experience in Boston. Service looked like it might be questionable but was actually very good. It's not always easy to find enjoyable Indian food in Florida but these guys obviously put some care in it.m Pleasant surprise in Ocala.

This restaurants food is by no means good. Their food may have been fresh frozen (how long ago and at what factory I don’t know) but defiantly was not fresh. Their service and atmosphere was good, but that does not make up for the disappointment in the food. It is not worth returning to.

It was OK but definitely not somewhere I'd rush back too. The chilli paneer was supposed to be spicy but was too bland and a little too much oil although the accompanying onions and peppers were nicely crunchy still. Husband had a lamb rogon josh, unfortunately the lamb was not very strong tasting. The restaurant was not very busy but... More

Wow, the food was great! I had chicken curry and my husband had lamb curry and both were delicious! We also had garlic naan bread and it was great! We did carry out so we could eat with our dog at our nearby hotel. Everything was packaged very nicely and they are very generous with the rice. We will absolutely... More

Eatting at Amrit Palace is always a wonderful experience!! We live nearby so eat there several times a year. The food is always fresh and tasty. People think Indian food is spicy, but that is not necessarily true. They will prepare it mild, medium or spicy to suit you taste!! The variety is vast! Evey kind of meat, fish, chicken... More

With the title I must confess I'm no Indian food expert but the food is great. My wife loves Indian food and is more of an expert than I and she loves this place. It is family owned and operated, they are very nice people as well. Great food great people and a great time.... what more can I say....... More

I love Indian food, though I'm not an expert. My girlfriend and I ate here tonight. We had the dinner for two, which was about $48 for two. With drinks and tax and tip, about $75. The service was very good and friendly. We haven't tried much of the menu, but we enjoyed what we had. This isn't the best... More

Discovered this Indian restaurant when visiting FL before moving here. Every visit is outstanding. Really appreciate that they offer a lunch special that is NOT a buffet. Quality over quantity is so much better, and the luncheon special, with soup, entree and bread, along with delightful onion chutney side, never disappoints. (Have also had dinner here, and it is very... More

Amrit Palace Indian Restaurant is a VERY PRETTY restaurant. Centrally located on what became known to us as restaurant row in Ocala, FL. We were there for lunch and as noted in a previous review; the selection is limited; you either choose a meat or a vegetable; rice a cup of dal soup and and half piece of Naan bread... More
