First I love their food...First I love their service. The counter lady was very friendly and hospitable. BBQ tasted very "fresh" and there was nothing to mask the taste of the meats. There are different sauces that can be added (The best is the sweet sauce). The outside of the restaurant needs a serious facelift but I did not go... More

I love this place and highly recommend it. Stick to ribs or pulled anything, and always get at least a little Brunswick stew.

A very good NC style barbecue in Florida. I lived about 20 minutes from Lexington, NC, so I'm familiar with good vinegar based barbecue. This place has been consistent over a number of years and a favorite place to visit when I visit my brother in Fort Lauderdale. Worth the drive to this walk-up-and-order gem.

Although I am not a super big fan of the vinegar based North Carolina style of BBQ I find this spot very good I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the beans, and loved the banana pudding. If you have never been here its worth giving it a try. They have friendly counter service prices are good.

This is a classic institution that has been there forever. It is small. There is no AC, it will be hot. Get your food to go. The beach isn't that far, or a nice park, Jaco Pastorious Park is down the street. Have a picnic. Yum.

OK it's not much to look at, and it's on a major road (dixie hwy) but stop once, and you'll be back! Pulled pork sandwiches like they should be!

brunswick stew that had hardly any meat, mediocre pulled pork sandwich on a stale roll, and lousy smoked sausage on a bun. very forgettable.

My family is a long time fan and patron of many BBQ places along the east coast; and this one is ok on our list. I liked the steak fries rather than the ribs. I ordered a full rack for $18.The pulled pork, chicken, and beef sampler were dry and tasted the same. The St. Louie ribs were falling off... More

If you're looking for great Carolina BBQ without going to the Carolinas, but hanging out near Fort Lauderdale, FL...then you gotta be here.
