We had dinner here tonight and it made me sick. The queso dip is white velveeta, the refried beans taste like canned chili. The waiter never brought drink refills we asked for. It makes me sick that I had to pay $80 for that meal. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

the place is far from fancy.reminds you of a local hangout. But the Mexican food is outstanding.Nice homemade salsa and chips freshly made. The shrimp quesadilla was excellent and the mini burritos are the best. All the Mexican food looks tremendous though I have not tried it all.Highly reccomend.

We always try to visit Cantina Captiva whenever we are in the Sanibel/Captiva area. We went back last week. Service was very attentive and prompt. As usual the food was outstanding. I prefer their chicken tacos which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Had the nachos with cheese, yummy. All in all a constant excellent performance from the folks at... More

We stopped in here while in the area and we really enjoyed it. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table which wasn't a big deal. Their chips and salsa were really good as were their fajitas. Our waiter was very attentive and was constantly topping off our drinks. We had their fried strawberry ice cream and that was... More

We are Mexican restaurant connoisseurs, and this place is definitely worthy of 5 stars. The food is delicious! The guacamole and salsa are super tasty! The service was superb:). Not sure why anyone gave negative reviews. We loved it:)

Great food. Good prices. Super small bar - 3 seats. Service not the best at the bar but good enough. Chips and salsa are great and all the food we had was good. Ate there 3 times in a one week.

We come to Captiva every year and always look forward to a delicious meal at Cantina Captiva. This year our meal was fabulous!! We had a party of 10 and everyone was pleased with their meal. The chips, salsa and queso dip is always a favorite. I had the pork enchiladas which were great!! My daughter ordered a kids burrito... More

We had dinner and lunch here over spring break. The food was really good. The outdoor seating was cool too. However, the service was really slow. The place was busy both times we were there and there was only one server for all the outside tables. Took almost an hour to get our food. It was tough to wait with... More

Fast good food. Salsa is homemade and chunky. The guacamole is very good. Had the carnitas enchiladas and they where very good. Nice outside seating. Waiter was friendly. Appears dirty inside and telamundo cartoon on the tv s. Nice beer selection in bottles and draft. They don't have a liquor license so the 'margarita' was wine based and not worth... More
