Always a good time at a reasonable price

We had visited the Cantina back in 2011 and we had to come back to find the dollar bill that will stapled to the ceiling. The food is good and reasonable. The service the night we were there was a little slow. We sat in the outdoor portion of the restaurant which we enjoyed, except that several... read more

Funky little beach Mexican joint on Captiva Island. Good guacamole and Nachos and beer. Didn't think much of the Margaritas. Good service and lots of fun. We left our dollar bills in the poor tipper hall of fame. Part of the fun!

My wife and I just stopped in for a beverage and a snack. We got the queso blanco with some beef thrown in. The cheese dip was flavorful and the beef added enough extra flavor. My wife thought the beef also made it a bit greasy. I have a higher tolerance for grease. The Margarita was nothing to write home... More

Quirky dining decor / nice outside ! Inexpensive , Friendly Staff, and tasty food. I love the homemade Salsa , Guacamole , Chips, and Fajitas . It was a different experience from my normal dining choices but in a good way. Would definitely give it a try if your in search of Mexican Cuisine .

Okay, to start, save yourself from the days of struggle after your meal. Vacation is, no doubt, supposed to be about making lasting memories. But, my two day GI issues after eating here are not the kind of lasting memories I like making on my spring break vacation. When trying to decide where to eat, my girlfriend and I were... More

The reviews were not good but I was willing to lower my expectations for a quick and simple meal. Bad idea! The place is dirty and they are dishonest. The food was terrible and the only positive note was a pleasant waiter. Inside, it is covered floor-to-ceiling with signed dollar bills. (Apparently, they take them down periodically for a sizable... Great option when staying on Captiva. Drinks are delicious, and food is good. Shrimp and steak tacos are amazing! Just arrive prior to 6 when vacationing during a heavy travel period, as it gets busy and the line up is really long! Try and reserve an outside table if possible.

Each year we go we visit this restaurant at least twice before we leave. This year the shrimp tacos were to die for. The service is great. I just can't say enough about the food it is delicious. I wish they would open one in Pompano Beach, FL.

That's not saying much when you decide to go back to a Mexican restaurant many times because the other choices are so unappealing. We sampled several. This one had several good choices and nice margaritas. It's a good thing we like Mexican food.

The best place in the Captiva area in out opinion. My wife and family absolutely love this place and dream about it all year long til we return. Shrimp in tequila lime marinade is Amazing! As are the fish tacos and neutrino else I've had here. Great staff. And service is great too. We come to the area for a... More
