My husband and I visited this restaurant on Saturday night. The place is very small, and there aren't a lot of places to sit. The staff is friendly, but the food is just ok. They have great music playing, which changes the feel of the place from when you first walk in. I would give them another try.

My wife and I had been to this restaurant about 20 years ago, and had vague, but good, memories of it. On a family vacation to Captiva with our children and grandchildren we felt we had to re-visit. Since we had 5 grandchildren (10 and under), we know not all restaurants are suitable for us. We were not disappointed and... More

This place is small, but a fun casual atmosphere. Biggest complaint was that there were no less than four things that we asked for that they were out of: several beers and a food item. Also one member of our party didn't receive his meal for about 10 mins after the rest of us.

I love Mexican food...so I was excited about this restaurant being on my "list". So sad. It was a rainy Monday afternoon, very few patrons in the restaurant, outside seating closed due of the weather. My husband and I waited inside the door for no less than 4 or 5 minutes without any acknowledgement. When the waiter finally spoke to... More

Ordered the fajita salad, was delivered the fajita sandwich with fries. No chips/salsa gratis as is the usual custom for most Mexican establishments; if you want those, you'll need to pay an additional nine bucks and order as an app. When the check came, was overcharged, and had to complain...the server gave we the difference in cash( I had to... The outside was kinda ugly and outdated..the inside was a bit nicer. I would give it a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Nothing outstanding about the food. I don't think we are ever coming back here.

Cantina Captiva has a wonderful tropical patio garden, and our party of 6 enjoyed having dinner and drinks at a picnic table outside. We'd come from watching the sunset, and were ready for a margarita. Apparently most (or all?) restaurants on Captiva only serve beer and wine, but their tequila-free margarita was still refreshing. The shrimp dishes were especially good.... More

Excellent Mexican food; homemade guac and pico. We had burrito's and enchilada's..all very good. Fajita's are house specialty...also great! Very, very small. Expect a wait. Friendly waiters. Definitely worth a visit if you like Mexican.

We had dinner here tonight and it made me sick. The queso dip is white velveeta, the refried beans taste like canned chili. The waiter never brought drink refills we asked for. It makes me sick that I had to pay $80 for that meal. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

the place is far from fancy.reminds you of a local hangout. But the Mexican food is outstanding.Nice homemade salsa and chips freshly made. The shrimp quesadilla was excellent and the mini burritos are the best. All the Mexican food looks tremendous though I have not tried it all.Highly reccomend.
