Very casual - and REALLY GOOD

We had eaten here last year and came back, wondering if our memories would have made their crunchy fried grouper better than it really was. It really is that good. The best piece of fish I have ever had, anywhere, in a well travelled life. The conch fritters are a bit spicy (pepper), but filled... read more

Since we stayed at the Inn/cottages, we got a free breakfast at RC Otter's. We got our pick from anything on the menu. My wife got an omelet and I had scrambled eggs with peppers and onions and a side of toast. Definately a place that I would recommend.

Had bloody marys and ultimate seafood omelette for breakfast, very good. Fun place with nice atmosphere. Came back next day for lunch and had the black beans and rice with blackened scallops and shrimp, AWESOME!

We visited RC Otter's 3 times on our recent holiday in Captiva and on all 3 occasions were greeted by very friendly, knowledgable staff serving wonderful food and the most amazing range of craft beers. RC Otter's does not have beach frontage so has to focus on delivering a wonderful customer experience and they excel at that. We will be... More

Found this little gem exploring Captiva. My friend who lives on Sanibel recommended Key Lime Bistro which is across the street. Our party of four enjoyed fresh cut sweet potato fries, grouper tacos and reuben with grouper/coleslaw. Good service and a really enjoyable variety of songs played by a one man band who sang one of my obscure favorites by... More

We found the location and service to be delightful. The 14 year-old said it was the best burger he'd had all week. The husband's $24 entree was just OK. My fried gulf shrimp were bland and rubbery. The 10-year old wasn't crazy about the spicy fries or the chicken fingers. The Dead Guy Ale on draft was the best part!... More

This place had great atmosphere. Servers were fantastic. I will say my friend and I were not sure what we wanted so we ordered the "already famous" calamari. I would like to clarify that this calamari was not good in any way. It tasted like it was from a frozen box that was heated up. Very disappointed. This is not... More

We visited R.C. Otters on a whim and ended up having a fabulous date night and a great meal. Sat outside with the propane heaters on (it was a cool night) and enjoyed the music from the one man band playing. He was very good, signing everything from John Mayer to Eric Clapton. Our server was excellent and did not... More

The atmosphere was better than the food. The food was average. It is fine for lunch but I would not spend the extra money at dinner. Service was fine.

RC Otter's had my 9 year old son at the get go. Once he saw his two favorite breakfast foods in one dish....he was hooked. Scrambled Eggs nestled between the most delicious French Toast ever. He kept getting up and stretching to make room in his tummy for more. Great menu, simple, great food. Service was quick and efficient. A... More
