We arrived shortly after 5 pm for an early dinner. Had not been to RC's for several years. The waitress showed up at our table and took drink orders and read the specials from the chalk board posted at the entry. She asked how long it had been since we had been to RC Otters and informed us that the... more

If you're staying on Captiva, then you're going to eat at all the places in the course of the week, but if you're driving in, then RC Otter's is a tasty, affordable option. It's the cheapest eats on Andy Rosse Lane and there's nothing stopping you from enjoying all the sights and sounds of all the other Andy Rosse Lane... more

My husband and I decided to go over to Captiva for lunch and chose RC Otters. It was probably one of my best choices for food this week. My husband got his old standby--the fried shrimp basket and I had the Mahi (fresh catch of the day) blackened on a burger bun with lettuce and tomato. It was served with... more

This place runs on Island time, laid back , comfortable, affordable and family oriented . The atmosphere is tropical , purples, blues, pinks , greens . I love sitting outside people watching while listening to live music. This is my favorie place on the Island. As with all the restaurants on the Island there will be a wait if you... more

Finding a breakfast on Captiva Island for early morning risers is a challenge. The first morning of our stay at South Seas Island resort, we could only find a Starbuck's open on the island. The second morning, however, we found this restaurant. They open at 8 AM and serve fresh, tasty breakfasts. Loved this place in the morning, except for... more

Read some good reviews and tried this for breakfast one day. It was sadly just very average, to below average. It was not "horrible"; we mostly ate what was served but it was just not good. We really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately would not recommend it for a really good breakfast. Server was nice and fairly efficient,... more

Pretty good place to eat. Had the catch of the day - one of my favorites, grouper and also tried ti bronzed. They bring out fries for the table if you ask. The price isnt too horrible considering where you are, it was like $36 for two of us. Decent place to eat, looked better than the surrounding places. more

Two friends and I vacationed on Sanibel the last week of October 2008. One evening we drove to Captiva and had dinner at RC Otters, a cute little beach type restaurant on Andy Rosse Lane. I had a very nice teriyaki chicken quesadilla which was wonderful. My friends both had the grilled seafood combination platter. I'm not sure what all... more

The service was terrible at breakfast. There were only four people in the restaurant including us. We waited almost ten minutes for a server. Should have taken this as a clue and left. The food took forever and arrived cold. more
