Wonderful little gourmet restaurant. You can dress up or dress down. Excellent menu and very attentive wait staff. Great place for a leisurely dinner. Not recommended for children. The history of the hotel is very interesting and historic.

Upscale restaurant but still laid back, not too fancy. Great truffle fries, great scallops, service was good. If you go on the weekends go next door after dinner for live music at the Crows nest! A more casual restaurant with live band and dancing until late!

A little pricey, but worth it. Probably one of the few finer dining choices on the island. As residents of the mid-atlantic, we have high standards for seafood, especially blue crab, but were willing to give the blue crab bisque a shot. We were not disappointed. Best sea bass and eggplant I've ever had. I am going to lobby hard... More

Unlike our previous visits to this restaurant, when it was just my wife and I, on this occasion we had all family members in our large party, including, for a real challenge to most restaurants, several vegetarians. Captiva House came through splendidly, with 6 out of 7 (including a very fussy granddaughter) loving their meals, and only one (surprising) disappointment,... More

Their free breakfast was a hit with my family. Everything was fresh and delicious. We love to sleep in, but my family would wake up early enough to go and have breakfast, as they only serve until 10:30 am. Fruits, pastries and all sorts of breads were available. Very good indeed.

We have been coming to the Olde Captiva House for over thirty years and the place is very charming. Time it right and you can see the sunset from your table. Unfortunately, the food has not quite kept up with the ambiance. The service was very good, but the meals we had were uninspiring.

Lovely setting and good food! Pasta is done just right and the eggplant was great! Bread was the best in the area!
