Romantic dinner

Wonderful place to eat dinner and watch the sun set over the ocean! The food was wonderful. The service was excellent. This was by far our best meal we ate on Captiva. If you want to get a great view of the sun setting while eating dinner ask to be seated in the front room.

Staff tried very hard but menu was new and not what we saw on website (very disappointing). Captiva House made up for it with complimentary desserts but it is not as good as other fine dining place at Sanibel Island.

My wife and I took a pre-school starting (she teaches high school) trip to Captiva one of our favorite locations. We stayed at South Seas Plantation and for our last night dinner went to Captiva House at sunset. We sat in the front room at a window seat (the room is elegant and has lots of windows ) with a... Excellent food and service with great history. This is a must when staying in Captiva. It's pricey but worth the splurge. The highlight of our dining out was here.

The breakfast was included with our room. Delicious pastries. One had the option of ordering off menu for a fee. Prices were good for guests but if you did not stay at the Inn, prices were greater.

We decided to stay at Tween Waters for the weekend and wanted to try this place out. At first we were unsure of what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by our experience from start to finish. Our server Vilius set the bar high for any service we have in the future. Throughout our entire dining experience, we never had... More

My husband and I staid at Tween Waters Inn and dined at the Captiva House multiple nights. Each night we had Lacey as our server. She was friendly, polite and accommodating. The seafood was fresh and delicious. Honestly we wish we had just eaten here every night of our trip. The desserts are home made and perfect sharing size. We... More

We stayed at the Tween Waters Inn on sight so we had our breakfast here. The service was delightful as was the food...... the pastry's were awesome! The breakfast room is very clean and tidy and the staff is on the ball. The menu had some real nice options but we stayed with basics for breakfast and we were very... More

The Captiva House offers a nice breakfast buffet with the most fantastic pastries that are baked there. I had one of the best pastries I've had since visiting Paris! There was plenty of choices from fruit, yogurt, cereals, etc. or you can order from a menu of standard breakfast fare. Lovely restaurant! Next time we will have to try dinner... More

For a special night out, dine here. The Lamb was delicious, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection. We especially appreciated Amin's attentiveness to our tired 2 year old. Lovely piano music accompanied our meal and all the attendants were timely, but not intrusive. Would go again.
