Worth the second trip

We had two wonderful dinners there, returning with our large group for a second one because the first was so good. Great seafood specials and the best key lime pie on the island.

The day was cloudy, but stopping with out of town guests at the Sunshine Seafood Café brought sunshine to our day. Enjoyed eating outside, of the 4 of us, one had seafood and 3 had hamburgers. Everything was cooked to perfection and our waitress was a delight. Great place to eat after spending a day at the beach.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary at this restaurant. We both opted for the crab cake starter and a special of the day, sea bass. The food was to die for! The sea bass is the best fish dish either of us has eaten in a long, long time- the fish was extremely fresh, cooked... More

We were a party of 7 and I made a reservation the same day. Our table was waiting for us and the server was glad to see us! It was a very cold night and we were prepared with our jackets and the restaurant has heaters so we did not mind eating on the porch. The food was wonderful and... More

Brought my 4 year old grandson with me this year and he loved the staff, especially Michelle. When he tells people about his trip to "Grammy's Island", he always tells them about his friends at the restaurant and his special breakfast sandwich with chocolate milk. Thanks for helping to make his trip memorable.

For the price we expected so much more. We had paella--salty, not interesting at all. Salmon was ok. I just remember reading the reviews and expecting something special and excellent, and it was just average, even the desserts. Doc Ford's was much better.

We chose this restaurant for a late lunch based on TripAdvisor reviews. We sat on the porch to enjoy the sunny weather. The grilled scallop & goat cheese appetizer was delicious! It was probably the best food I had during the trip. Sadly, the grilled snapper sandwich didn't measure up. The Cajun seasoning did nothing for the bland fish, and... More

Four of us ate here in early Feb.. First get a reservation!!! Second make sure you are on the porcah. There are only 4 tables inside and it is crowded. Next enjoy a great meal in a great setting. It's not on the beach and the view is of Captiva Drive but who cares? The food is wonderful, the service... More

While sitting around a pool in Captiva, a gentleman was trying to find the phone number for this place, so he could make a reservation, so I got it for him. Then I read the reviews and decided my wonderful wife and I should go for our last dinner on the island. So glad we did! Delicious Paella, Blind Pass... More
