Great view

We didnt have dinner just a few appetizers and drinks. The beach patio is beautiful a wonderful place to relax with a couple cold beers and some live music. We had a great time.

I think there is more hype than quality. No reservations so you take a chance. We got there on a rainy night and no problem getting a table. Service was good, menu choices were good. We ordered Duck and a Grouper dinner. They were just okay. We spent too much money on what we got. It is a fun restaurant... More

We usually visit a restaurant twice to see if our first impression was right or wrong. We visited MD last year and was wowed with their scallops au gratin so we tried MD last week again. A previous reviewer had commented about MD's process of everyone "hitting" the dining room at 5 pm. While we didn't think much of it... More

This place is essentially a beer garden and a public convenience for people on the beach. The location is unbeatable and that's the problem. I suspect almost none of their custom is local, and so they know that tourists (like us) will rock up every week and will fall in love with the location, and tolerate the shocking level of... More

My husband aI normally visit when we are in Captiva. Well, it certainly has gone downhill. I usually get the fish and chips; well you now get fish sticks and fries. Definitely not worth it, especially considering I had a couple of bones in my fish. Was not expecting that. It was greasy as well leaving the fish sticks soggy.... More

It's very difficult for me to give a rating of 5. Something really spectacular or extraordinary has to happen. My rating of four stars means everything was excellent. The food, the service, superb. I got the clam chowder and it was awesome. I also got fish and chips. They were perfect, not too large of servings but enough to make... More

The place itself was rather "stuffy" and expensive, lots of fish and not a lot of choices, but outside there was live music, great drinks with a nice price tag. We enjoyed watching the sunset and the music..

Food is actually pretty decent, but I recommend limiting your visit to the outside for drinks and the sunset. OK beer selection.

The mucky duck is a staple! It has the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. The staff are helpful, but full of pranks. Go early for lunch because it will be packed. Or take in the sunset with a drink at the outside tables.

Stopped in with our group of 9. parking is a nightmare but if you go early you should be ok. The kids all liked their chicken finger meals. Most of the adult food we liked. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing. If you can make it here it is great atmosphere with beach and outdoor seating.
