Food is disappointing

We sat outside so we didn't see the inside restaurant but the "tiki" environment outside was cute. Unfortunately the food was just OK and some dishes overpriced. Our waiter was pleasant and after apologizing for the delays was very attentive, but not helpful with suggestions or prices for their... read more

The stone crabs were delicious. The waiter recommended the cold stone crab appetizer. Excellent recommendation! The cucumber salad was an unusual, delicious version of this often undistinguished side. The restaurant is casual. The staff is fun and welcoming.

We sat outside so we didn't see the inside restaurant but the "tiki" environment outside was cute. Unfortunately the food was just OK and some dishes overpriced. Our waiter was pleasant and after apologizing for the delays was very attentive, but not helpful with suggestions or prices for their " signature" dishes ( not worth it!) The server tossed my... We went with friends for dinner and started with the seafood dip which was awesome; smokey, creamy and salty. I got the coconut shrimp which was ok, the batter to shrimp ratio was off. I could barely taste the shrimp, but the coconut batter had a lot of real coconut and flavor. There was way more food than any of... More

Great Floridian eating establishment and pleasant environment with a wide range of fresh fish choises bode well for our evening meal. But we did not expect to get over-cooked grouper (blackened). Should have tried instead the hogfish. Also our server was not very helpful in guiding us with our choices.

We have driven by on many occasions and finally stopped in. Not only is this a restaurant but it sells fish to take home and cook. The facilities are much larger inside than would appear from the outside. The menu is extensive and offers fish fried, broiled and blackened. I had a fried shrimp and seafood combo that was pretty... We go here with friends frequently and have never been disappointed. Their seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. The wait staff always seems happy to see us and the atmosphere is nautical to a fault. Try it.....you will be glad you did.

Will never go eat there ever again. We went to eat dinner at captain Eddie as we had family visiting us from out of town. After dinner we decided to order the desserts to go : key lime pie and New Orleans bread puddings. As we were used to stop by captain Eddies just to get those desserts to go. Well... More

Very good food and fish selection. The blackened grouper was exquisite. It is a bar-like setting so, the seating was appropriate. Great service. A very pleasant evening.

If there was a rated that was negative we would have used it. The worst meal ever!! We should have known when all the other restaurants were crowed and this one was not. Our friends were from out of town and had never had Stone Crab, so with our suggestion they both order it. At over $40 per person you... More
