We frequent Captain Eddie's because of their fresh caught fish. The wait staff is very accommodating and quick. The Key Lime pie that can purchased is amazing. My recommendation is for them to revamp their side items. They are lacking in spice and quality.

Capt Eddie's seaford restaurant is a secret ...not enough know about the freshness of their seafood. Capt Eddie himself catches the fish fresh....he is a incredible guy. Food is fresh, excellent and their fresh fish market is interesting.

We were very disappointed in the menu choices. The food was really greasy and you could taste the oil. We won't be going back again.

When dining at Captain E we have 1 of 2 experiences. I'm not sure if it is the staff or our luck but everything is either top notch or everything goes wrong. We'll keep trying.

Captain Eddie's specialty is Hogfish. Never heard of a Hogfish, but had to give it a try. Our fantastic waitress Diane told us all about Hogfish. It can also be called Hog Snapper but isn't even related to Snapper. Hogfish is a sweet, meaty white fish that gets its name from rooting like a hog on the bottom of the... More

There was nothing terrible about the food but it was nothing special either. The fried oysters were good and my baked potato was fresh and hot. The service was exceptional the evening we were there.

This was my first stop before heading into Venice, the mussel's in garlic butter were very tasty and meaty ones, a must for good seafood in Sarasota County, FL
