Very Good, But Not Consistant

We've had some very good experiences at the place. My wife loves the pancakes, and I like the Harry's breakfast. My problem is consistancy. More than once my sunny side over eggs were served without bread, keep being told that it is coming. When it does come, my eggs are cold. More than one... read more

This place was recommended to us so we gave it a try. It's a bit pricey so make sure you let them know how you want your food cooked. I even joked with the waitress that I can't take runny egg whites and she even agreed with me. Got my eggs and the whites weren't cooked and the bacon was... More

I recently had a chance to revisit a restaurant that I had previously raved about. The standards have gone downhill. We went for breakfast. What first struck my wife and I was that they were using small eggs. I don'think I have ever had such small eggs. I also had corned beef hash. It was tasteless. They were great, now,... More

First off I'm very shocked by the negative reviews. Staff and Food was Great. Those that think that this place is expensive for what they get...well stick to the all-you-can-eat buffet's. I'm a big man and was fine with the portions. If you enjoy fine dining Dinner Spots. This is what a Fine Dining of Breakfast Places would be. From... More

The atmosphere is lovely, service is excellent. The breakfast menu satisfies every option--old-fashioned (porridge or grits), hearty (bacon, eggs and pancakes), light (fruit, crepes), or, if it's brunch, have a salad or wrap.

Visited the Nokomis Breakfast House this past Sunday with a party of 12 for my grandmother's 90th birthday. I can't say enough good things about the place. I called several days ahead to inquire about getting reservations, and though they don't technically take them, they said if we called them first thing that morning to tell them when we'd be... I think that I would go here just for the bacon! But the fruit crepes were good-though a little oily. My husband really enjoyed the Uncle Harry's breakfast. We sat on the patio-the inside was full on a Wednesday at 10 am. The variety of quaint salt and pepper shakers were cute. There was an interesting old tree which the... More

What a pleasant surprise this little place was. The staff were warm and friendly. The shrimp and grits were well cooked and presented. So often, shrimp are overcooked on these dishes, not so here. My husband had the corned beef hash with poached eggs on top. As odd as it was to have hollandaise on hash, it really was 'a... More

Not your typical diner!! Every table is color coordinated. Lace curtains, linen tablecloths, beautiful water colors on the walls. Very good, attentive service. The big attraction of this small gem of a restaurant is the food. Shrimp/lobster omelets, stuffed sourdough french toast with cream cheese and berry compote, salmon/caper omelets...just the beginning. And not just breakfast, they serve a lunch/dinner... More

This is a typical place for breakfeast and lunch for the area. Price are higher than most places in the area. The food is fine, not great but fine. Portions should be larger concidering the prices. LONG waits of the weekend and long waits on week days. Service very friendly. decore south Fl. On a nice day sit outside.
