Ophelia’s "Costco" pasta house

We were enchanted by the name, and the cute outside lighted entrance so thought we would stop in for some Italian cuisine. The hostess was very friendly and after a short wait for customers grazing around the desk we were taken to a booth. On first thought, I felt like it was homey and comfortable... read more

Our hotel (Laurel Villa Motel) recommended this place to us.... and we were not disappointed. Where else can you go for an under $8 breakfast, Italian atmosphere, seated at a most beautiful dark wood table, covered with linen and a diamond paper cutout, with cloth napkins, served complimentary bloody mary or mimosa.... a breakfast that is out of this world,... If you need a quick inexpensive and great tasting morning breakfast go to Ophelia's Pasta House in Nokomis on the corner of 41 & Laurel. They start you off with a free Bloody Mary. Their staff is virtually unbeatable. a real extensive morning menu from eggs benedict to waffles. Very price competitive. Me & my wife go there Sundays at... More

We went for a family dinner gathering at Ophelia's Pasta House - we had been there before and been generally satisfied. But this time, three of us ordered one of the evening's specials - Calamari Ophelia - and we were very disappointed. The "lightly breaded" calamari were quite tasteless, as was the whole entrée - calamari, red peppers, sprinkling of... More

The day waitress went home & the evening one had not arrived (only one staff person in entire place?)..had to wait till she arrived at 3:35 & nobody brought us anything while waiting...Some bread or complimentary drink would have been nice!!! Finally waitress arrived in... More

A dog was actually sitting on an outside table that it's owners were eating on. I am so glad we were eating inside. If you decide to eat here after reading this you may want a inside table. My wife and I watched this take place while having breakfast this morning. Why a person would ever put their dog on... More

We are very sorry that our diners did not follow the rules of "doggie dining". We have a strict policy on what is or is not allowed while dining with your dog. I was unaware that this occurred and will make sure the staff makes sure that never happens again. Sorry! More

Went here for early dinner special. It was busy and our waitress gave us good, efficient service. While the food and drinks were reasonably priced, the ambience and food were nothing special. I had the eggplant and chicken parm combo and thought it was soggy. My house salad was tired and limp, while Hubby's Caesar was fresher but not very... More
