The food is very good. I always get gumbo with my meal. The bread that comes with it is my favorite. The chicken is well cooked and the shrimp are well seasoned. I've never gone drinking there, but the bar looks like it might get pretty lively in the evenings. The price is high but so is the quality. It's... More

This resturant cooks food with a French/Cajun flair. The food is prepared very well and the service is good. The bar is a full service bar. The staff is very friendly.

It doesn't look like much on the outside but the food is tremendous. We stopped in for lunch and the po' boys are a tremendous value. The special with shrimp and fish was an excellent sandwich with great dirty rice as a side. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Just reading the descriptions of the larger entrees definitely makes me want to... More

We are in the Ft Walton Beach area every other year or so and are always looking for new places to eat. My husband is always on the search of the best gumbo and I think we found it at FQG. The decor is a little quirky but has that New Orleans feel. I had the corn & crawfish bisque... More

This place is a hidden away jewel. I went there with my family and everyone's selection was fantastic. Generous portions and great atmosphere. I will go back often.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the decor of the restuarant but that's more personal taste. That said, I was probably more inclined to dislike the food, but I didn't. The food was FANTASTIC. Now it's my friend and my regular meet up spot. Would definetly recommend.

Every time I am in Florida, I always go to dinner with one of my best friends. He chose this restaurant knowing I liked cajun food as I went to Louisiana State University. The food was great. I had the Crawfish Salad and a bowl of Red Bumbo. Red what? Red Bumbo is red beans and rice with chicken and... More

Went here for lunch and had the Mediterranean Salad - with the steak medium rare. It was so good! The salad was fresh and the steak was so tender! Last time I had the chicken and banana salad - it was great too! $11.00 for lunch with just ice water and no tip - but worth it! The salad was... More

Even though I had lived in Niceville for 19+ years I never made it to the FQG. This trip back it was recommended to us to go during lunch. What a pleasant surprise. Great authenitic Cajun food with a New Orleans fare. I wish we hadn't waited so long!

funky fun environement, friendly staff, bar in the back if interested in that vs. dining room area. I asked for my food to be cooked just a bit more (I like my meat well done) and the chef was very accomodating and came to check on me and served my food on a brand new plate set up with new... More
