Description: Fairly new business which is tucked (hidden) behind McDonald's, off of Highway 20 and Juniper Avenue, in Niceville, Florida. The chef/owner is Brian Cartenuto, a young chef who cooks very tasty, and well seasoned, food in a casual environment. He claims to cook and serve the BEST HAMBURGER IN TOWN, and my son who considers himself a burger connoisseur (and tastes burgers in EVERY town we visit) says it is THE BEST hamburger he has EVER eaten. And, it is HUGE. In fact, all of Brian's portions are very large. I can never finish my plate of food, and take some home every time. In addition to his menu, he offers Blue Plate Specials from Monday through Friday. His "Red Beans and Rice" on Monday are the BEST I've ever had. As Niceville, Fl has so few delicious, affordable and local restaurants, I am reallly wanting to place Tucker Duke's Lunchbox on the map. In fact, I plan to contact that show Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins. :-)

Had the Tucker Duke. This is my second time eating here. Again, as usual, service was excellent, decor great, food delicious, and price reasonable.

If I had stumbled on this place in a small town somewhere and the burger had cost half as much, I would say 5 stars. But a $10 burger in a gas station with, shall we say, minimalist decor just comes up short. The namesake burger was good. The service was reasonable. The pricing just didn't match the food or... Arrived early for lunch and selected a table out side. I was greeted promptly and ordered a glass of sweet tea while I waited for my lunch partner. The tea was sweetened just right, but had a slight bitter taste that is familar with either older (stale) tea or from a dispenser that has not been cleaned thorougly. I ordererd... More

Stopped here for lunch with my class and had the original Tucker Duke Burger. Pretty much a standard burger from the look, except a little bigger. The taste was way better than most other burgers I've had. The place is sort of "hole in the wall" looking which for anything but mexican food is normally a bad choice for me,... More

Not sure where the reviews came from that rate this place as great. Tried it twice. Enjoyed the burger but the service was marginal......slow and a bit of attitude.

I have been here several times when doing business in town. It has a good variety of sandwiches and sides. Something out of the ordinary when most of the restaurants in town are chains. Staff is always nice and helpful. The daily special is always a good choice.

Lunch at Tucker Duke's - was greeted by a server who told us to sit at the two seat table or the bar in a very harsh tone - no smile or welcoming greeting. Tables are close together. My view was the kitchen where there was substantial dirt in the refrigerator area and oozing insulation - the spray kind that... More

Men will probably enjoy the huge sandwiches served here, but I would prefer petite versions of their burgers and sandwiches. I had the Louie, Louie, essentially a turkey club. It was OK, but the marbled bread was dry. Expect all sandwiches to be very tall and sloppy, and all sides are extra. $30 lunch for two, including tip. The POS... More

This place is in an old gas station. Which to some may translate as "cool", but to me it gives the appearance of being dirty. It is noisy, tables too close together and the owners seemed disinterested in putting a smile on their faces. The food took a long time to get to our table and when it did, it... More
