This is my all time favorite restaurant in Gainesville for seafood. I love their St. Augustine fried shrimp, and think it is the best shrimp I have ever eaten. They also have great sides, such as the collard greens and cheese grits. Daily veggies are also always unique and delicious. The blue cheese crusted grouper is also excellent. I ordered... More

We moved to the Town of Tioga in 1998 as our family expanded. One of the things we left behind was being about two miles away from Northwest Seafood in the Millhopper Plaza area. This made it slightly more difficult to get their outstanding seafood. However, we were very pleasantly surprised when a second Northwest Seafood opened in the Tioga... More

I think a couple of the reviews are confusing Northwest Grille (on 39th Ave. in Gainesville) with Northwest Seafood, which is a seafood store that, as a side service, will cook your fish for you. There are no tables and chairs -- IT'S A FISH STORE! This location is their second,, joining the original which is on 16th Blvd. in... More

Food and service are always great. Nice nautical type ambiance on the inside with lower lighting. Enjoy the fresh bread and butter that come with the meals. Desserts are also terrific. Definitely recommend.

This is a neighborhood resturant that my husband and I go to often. Great local place. Try it!

The fish and shrimp are always fresh and delicious but you'll have to take it home and cook it yourself. That's ok since you can add your own twists. BTW, the seafood dips are to die for.

In addition to being a seafood market they will also cook your food in their small kitchen. They have all the seafood staples like coleslaw, hush puppies, fries. The sweet potato fries are amazing. Fresh and crinkle cut which is hard to find.

For what it tries to be, Northwest Seafood is great. You can either buy your fish as you would at a traditional fresh fish market. They also have some great sauces and things to accompany your cooking. Or you can have them cook your fish. They can fry, grill, or broil it, season it simply or creole style (my fave)... More
