Mahony's Oyster Bar was permanently closed in the spring of 2014. As of July 2014 the building was sold and it is now the home of "Yellow Dog Eats".

This is a fine little lunch place in downtown NSB. Good sandwiches and a nice assortment of beers. Good value for the price

Mom was a classically trained French chef and it shows with the selection and quality of foods offered. The soups and... More

Slow service; out of everything we ordered. We are told to come back in November for oysters. Music to loud for small place and small crowd. We went down the road to McKenna's and had a dozen delicious oysters. Hmm

This place is very tiny but what a gem. The seafood and the homemade soup is really good. I liked the service but did not like the limited seating.

The owner ignores customers and is just plain lacking that polite good ol fashion hospitality. I must say 4.50 for a pint of Sam Adams is a bit much as it is an American draft beer not an import and shouldn't be priced as one...I've been there three times and they weren't serving food within normal business hours...owner was rude...
