Delicious seafood reasonably priced. Casual atmosphere with outdoor Patio seating on the River! Staff was efficient and pleasant.

Every time we get to Florida, we make sure to get to JB's. My sisters even drive 1 1/2 hours to eat there, even when we are not in FL. They have a kooky sense of humor, lot's to see and read on their walls and the food can't be beat! The start by covering the table with brown paper,... More

I had read several reviews, and was looking forward to eating at JB’s, but overall experience was very disappointing. Two members in my group have food allergies, but our server showed no interest in helping them pick something off the menu until we told her that if she could not accommodate them, then we would be leaving. Only then did... More

I've eaten here several times and it's the best. Flounder sandwich is great and so are the peel and eat shrimp. Rented kayaks for the first time from them and it went great. Was directed to a lagoon and saw many manatees. One kept swimming right up to the kayak. Best time

My family and I vacation in New Smyrna every summer; as a tradition we eat at JB's! In years past it's been wonderful and we were always anticipating our next visit...the past two years have been mediocre at best. They always seem to be out of something we order and this year my seafood was undercooked and I could barely... More

We happened to be driving by and I am sure glad we pulled in. We had a lovely dinner at the bar. We devoured crab legs -- boiled spicy shrimp and delicious crab cakes. We also enjoyed the Gater Punch ! I would definitely suggest this place for a casual lunch or dinner after the beach.

You start out with a greeting from a 5 foot stuffed alligator smoking a cigarette at the door. Then you go in and you say to yourself you overdressed! You see paper on the tables as tablecloths and you know why! Crabs everywhere! Everytime we go we have to get a few pounds of crabs, which are excellent. You can... More

JB's is a cool, laid back place for fresh seafood and funky atmosphere, Fresh fried fish specials, clams, oysters all great and served by friendly staff. Seating indoors or outside overlooking the waterway where there's a fishing dock, too. We went for lunch and would definitely return for dinner!

Had good food and nice views of the water. Walked out on the dock and saw some manatees as well. Time of year we were there (early September) you can get eaten up by bugs when you sit outside, but overall it is worth it. Kayak rentals would be a good way to make the day of it. Very laid... More

I have been going to JB's for many years. The food has always been great. It is a fish camp so it is very casual and laid back. The seating outside is picnic tables with paper towels on the table. I am not saying this a negative point but just setting expectations. It is a great place to watch the... More
