The menu has a little bit of everything. I had the fried shrimp, and it is the best fried shrimp I've ever had. This is a must-visit place in NSB due to the cool, laid back atmosphere. One caution, there is no kid's menu, so you may end up paying $11 for a huge hamburger for a child. Once you're... More

This place was packed when we arrived. Plus it was pouring down rain, so the patio wasn't open. However, we only had a 20 minute wait, so we waited at the bar until our table was ready. The food was awesome! We had the blackened alligator, and I had blackened shrimp and fish with french fries and key lime cole... More

We took my brother, his wife and another out-of-state couple here for the sunset views, the casual atmosphere and lastly, the food. JBs is always crowded but thankfully never is overwhelmingly loud. If you sit inside, make sure you're not near the stuffed deer. It just seems gross to me to look up at a deer butt. The most adventurous... More

The best part of my lunch was the hush puppies. The coleslaw lacked flavor and was not creamy and half of my fried fish was not cooked completely. Not thrilled with the decor either.

We love thisplace we eat here at least 2-4 times in the week we always stay in NS. THey have the best rock shimp with a great kick... heavy spice. Also they cover the tables so the kids love to be able to color on the tables. THe staff is always friendly and the locals are too. You can walk... More

When have been to JB's the last three summers and each time the food has been great! This most recent visit was for lunch as we had just rented some kayaks down the Halifax River. There was no wait and our service was outstanding. We will continue to visit this restaurant each year we visit.

When they say Fish Camp they mean it. You can rent kayaks, buy bait, dock your boat and even meet your Captain for a day of fishing at JB's. JB's website lists several fishing guides to contact if you want to fish. I would highly recommend Captain Pete Madar. He has a pontoon boat which is perfect for families. He... More

We continue to go to JBs on every NSB vacation. The food is good and it's fun to visit during lunch and check out the daily catch. JBs is also the home of several local fishing guides and I enjoy talking to them as they come in with their clients and catch. (years ago we chartered a family trip and... More

I really find the uniqueness of this restaurant to be draw. The food is good as well as the service. I always find something I like and leave glad I went there. I absolutely love their huge hamburgers. Eat inside or put plenty of bug repellant on if you choose to eat outside. The view is great and it's a... More

Its like a box of chocolate. Never know what your gonna get. We have been here 2x. Both times food was good. Decor is a great step back in time so to speak. Weird stuff hangin in this place. If I had to ding the place, it would be there service. Last time we went, I had a table that... More
