Views of the Intracoastal Waterway... and during Race Week the Goodyear Blimps

JB's is worth the trip. Just north of the Cape Canaveral National Seashore between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Ocean is this neat "Fish Camp" Restaurant. JB's offers the standard fried seafood fare. They also have excellent raw clams and oysters that are grown locally... and the buoys can... read more

Went here for crabs and this restaurant should not have been serving crabs that were that empty . . . yes, empty! We even told the waitress that the crabs were not good and all she said was "sorry" -- we left 3 of our dozen crabs on the table. If the crabs are not good, take them off your... More

This is the worst restaurant in town. Do your self a favor spend the extra fifty dollars to go to the Garlic! The floors are dirty. We waited over an hour and someone else paid to jump ahead of our table of eight. The manager offers hush puppies free because they can't waste a good ten dollar appetizer for people... More

Every year we make at least one stop at JB's. Blackend grouper sandwhiches!!!! I hear they even have other things on the menu! lol My friend had the scallops and sai they were excellent. It's not fancy. Picnic tables with paper towels & a great view of the water. There's a dock to hang out on before or after your... More

This is a very informal "fish camp" restaurant located on the bayside in New Smyrna Beach. It is extremely popular and often very crowed. Reservations are recommended. During warmer months outside dining is popular. The oysters are small but sweet and delicious. Their fried fish and hushpuppies are wonderful. The oyster stew is excellent. We did not care for the... We were told by several people we HAD to try J. B's Fishcamp and Restaurant. My brother-in-law who lived in area said he would not recommend it. But we decided to go for lunch and check it out. Glad we didn't go for dinner. It was ok for a "dive" but my Rock Shrimp were not as good as touted... More

We have been eating at JB's for years. Here's what you could expect: funky, fish camp fun. That's it and we love it. It is not sterile. It is a fish camp. Paper on the table. A great place to make a mess with local oysters, crabs, rock shrimp, etc. Wash it down with beer. Wear a bib if you... More

This is a local institution in a prime location that is resting on its laurels. JB's needs a total overhaul. The Fish Camp theme is tired, rundown, crowded. and appears overdue for a good scrubbing. On my recent visit, both my guest and I were disappointed with our food, My guest ordered the grouper sandwich. It was a generous portion,... More

Visited JB's on a Thursday evening and had to wait about 10 minutes for a seat. The inside was packed and loud so we opted for an outside table that had great ambiance but holy cow the mosquitos made it a miserable experience. The Coconut Shrimp was overcooked and stiff. The Shipwreck Special at $22.95 was not worth it. Lacked... More

In New Smyrna for a week and dined out in several places there and in Daytona~this was by far the best! The feeling of being somewhere in a bit of a Jimmy Buffet time-warp, with the water right under your table :-) The food was fantastic! The oysters (fresh from the intra-coastal waterway were amazing!) Service was great! My nickname... More
