Blackbeards doesn't take reservations, but my family of four was pretty hungry and wanted to wait the estimated 45 minutes to be seated, rather than go somewhere else. We were actually seated after closer to an hour, but since we had gotten on the list before six we were given the Early Bird pricing, which was unexpected and pleasing. The... more

If you're ready to dust off the sand and enjoy a sit-down meal, then this is the one of the best places for a Prime Rib in NSB. My family has enjoyed Blackbeard's for years. The food is great, love the rolls! Service is typically better than average for FL, despite the crowds and the prices are fair. Enjoy! more

During our last visit to Blackbeard's Inn for New Year's Eve, 2007, both my husband and my prime rib were overcooked. The Baked potatoes were smaller this year too. The service was great and very attentive despite the overcrowded dining room. Next time we visit we will demand the correct doneness of the prime rib or we'll return them to... more

Got there at 4:00 on Saturday and there was quite a wait when we were on our way out the door. Some complain about the 1 trip to the salad bar, but... more

Vacationed in NSB for a week. This was probably one of the better meals. TONS of food, so you may want to share. Hushpuppies were great! REAL WHIPPED BUTTER TOO! more

As a new Smyrna local, I've been eating at Blackbeards for 20 years or longer, and i've never had a bad meal. In fact, the food is always consistantly excellent! Always fresh and the best prime rib or seafood you can get. I'm not sure how they keep it so consistant but it keeps you coming back. Give them a... more

Great Menu, Great Atmosphere, STOP... Tried the following, Grouper broiled, guest tried the Grouper fried, bowl of New England Chowder. First the chowder tasted like some other seafood item, not clams. The consistency was like heavy paste, cream of wheat. We did not eat it after a taste. The Grouper broiled was covered in red, which was a heavy seasoning,... more
