Authentic Italian food at a great value

Off the beaten path in a strip center, but don't worry. The inside is small and a tad dated, but it reminds me of little bistros in NYC's little Italy. The best part is, instead of paying for some fancy scenery, you just get great Italian food. The Caesar salad, mussels, and seafood linguine are... read more

You may only come across this restaurant if you are staying close by but I overheard a gentleman who dined there last week say that he'd been coming to Panevino for 12 years or more because the food was just the best - indeed it was, the shrimp scampi being my utmost favourite - the white wine, oil and garlic... I read most reviews before my wife and I visited Panevino, any negative reviews were clearly in season and everyone should have know that the restaurant would be busy! We made a reservation for 7:30PM on a Saturday night, arrived on time and were seated immediately. We ordered a drink and a bottle of wine, which was delivered as we... More

I hate to say anything negative about our local places, however this was so mediocre and after 10 years of seeing this place in Publix shopping center we were very disappointed. The seafood salad was tiny diced pieces of seafood and mostly celery, the ravioli special, while a large platter, was doused in sauce and my meal, the mushroom pappardelle... More

First time in Naples so I ask my Italian buddy from NY who cooks & eats only top notch Italian, what place he recommends for dinner. He tells me not to be scared of the "pizza place" type outside appearance of this strip mall establishment & just make a reservation & order the Red sauce. Easter Sunday dinner..... well dressed... Our family did a take-out order here so I'll just comment on the quality of the food and the timeliness of the order. I ordered two pasta dishes and veal piccata at 5:00 and the dishes were ready for pick-up at 5:20. They packed the dishes in a bag in those circular aluminum take-out pans with the cardboard lids with... More

You could walk by this place and almost miss it. Quite small, and always seems packed. Gives the impression of a small family business, and the food is traditional Italian, and very nice too. Not high end, but you come away satisfied. Worth a repeat visit.

Our experience was similar to other reports---a long wait (45 mins) even though it was not too busy. We could have come later if advised when I telephoned; similar platitudes from the manager ("clearing tables; will not be too long; people just leaving etc). Very small place. Decent- sounding menu. Quite small portion of starters (ie Bruschetta, brasiola). Good veal... More

My guest and I waited for a table for two, just about 10 minutes, no problem. We ordered a glass of wine and the waiter explained the specials. We asked for a few minutes. The owner came over and said they had a large order to go soon, would we like to order before them, agian, no problem. We finished... More

Located in a strip plaza, Panevino is certainly an elegant surprise! The reservation was professionally handled- we even received a follow-up phone call to confirm. The menu offered a number of veal dishes and 5 of the 6 of us chose different veal meals - all wonderful. Our 6th chose the eggplant parmesan, also excellent. The only downside to our... More
