Not like any others we have visited. The menu was definitely upscale compared to the other Mels Diners. Much larger establishment. Quality of food very good. We were just looking for something quick. And what a surprise. A definite recommend. Nothing to dislike on that visit.

Came back for a visit in Naples and back at my favorite place to eat Mel's Diner. I went there for lunch and though it was busy and I had to wait, it was worthy. I got my favorite grouper and french fry with salad and a glass of wine and my wife got grilled shrimp with soup with iced... More

Dirty and broken tables, ancient bench seating, worn menus and thats just the beginning. When we come to the food it gets worse. Burned links, greasy rancid bacon, goat cheese omelet with dry crumby Feta instead, clumpy grits...tastless coffee in tiny mugs...need I go on? At least the server was polite and fun.

1950's diner with really good food, good service, and good prices. We ate there twice! Silly to make me write 50 words, because i said how goos it was in less than 50 words!

Casual diner atmosphere but with a huge menu and a wait long enough to prove that the food is delicious. I try to go in the off season for that exact reason but it is very family friendly and fun.

Date Visited: Tuesday, July 1, 2014 Pros: Very good service, great prices Cons: ?? This is a great place to eat, as we have eaten here a couple times before. It is right off Tamiami in Naples, and therefore easy to find and get to. It has a diner feel, plays oldies music, and has good old comfort food. The... More

We always eat here for breakfast whilst on holiday. Very good value, and we love the country fried potatoes, over easy eggs, and crispy bacon. Novel 60's surroundings and music, with excellent endless coffee and good, quick service.

This place needs a good cleaning. The carpet is filthy, the bathrooms stink and the seat were full of crumbs and grease. My omelette had oil oozing out of it and my potatoes were drenched in oil. My kids pancakes weren't bad but the coffee was very watery. I would not recommend it. Go to Skillets on Airport Pulling Rd... More

Loved the food and atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, portions are huge and the old style diner feel makes it a great place to dine. The service was very good.

We have eaten here many times when visiting Naples and sadly must say we were disappointed. We actually drove out of our way to eat at this little gem. We all ordered different entree's and agreed "something" was missing. The waitress was delightful. Quick service. Just not as tasty as in the past.
