Shades of yesteryear. From the multi-hued carpeting, to the ugly patterned booths, to the acoustical ceiling tiles, to the wall prints of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, to the smudges on the entry door, this place reeks of the 50's. Food is average, served by competent waitresses. The only nod to the 21st Century are the prices - $9.50 for... More

Food was as you'd expect from a US diner. My burger was a tad dry, the chilli was good, the salmon club was again ok. Menu vast Service pretty good and very kid friendly Really good value if you want something quick and easy after a day on the beach

There aren't many east coast diners like this one that is located south of New Jersey. Every ingredient in the hearty meals they serve is fresh in this blast from the past diner. The prices are outrageously reasonable and the service is warm and friendly. Well be back when next we're in Naples.

Country fried steak was awesome. Huge portions with sausage gravy. They closed Mel's diner in my area so I enjoy going when in Naples. Cheap alternative. Staff was very pleasant

Retro music, Great food, clean, a good value for your money, waitresses a hoot. Serves wine! What more could you ask for!

Went to Mel's Diner in Naples because it was near our hotel and looked pretty good. The decor is so interesting - 50's/60's. I got the lobster tart - very tasty. The accompanying mashed potatoes were very good. My fiancé got the pork chop and said it was too dry, overdone, as were the mixed veggies. He probably should have... More

Not like any others we have visited. The menu was definitely upscale compared to the other Mels Diners. Much larger establishment. Quality of food very good. We were just looking for something quick. And what a surprise. A definite recommend. Nothing to dislike on that visit.

Came back for a visit in Naples and back at my favorite place to eat Mel's Diner. I went there for lunch and though it was busy and I had to wait, it was worthy. I got my favorite grouper and french fry with salad and a glass of wine and my wife got grilled shrimp with soup with iced... More

Dirty and broken tables, ancient bench seating, worn menus and thats just the beginning. When we come to the food it gets worse. Burned links, greasy rancid bacon, goat cheese omelet with dry crumby Feta instead, clumpy grits...tastless coffee in tiny mugs...need I go on? At least the server was polite and fun.
