Copacabana is a great little local gem of a restaurant. The food is always delivered quickly, piping hot, and perfectly spiced. Portions are very large for the price. Wonderful homemade sauces add great zip to the food as well. Yummy mojitos! The patio seating is fabulous, too: covered and intimate but not loud. The strolling musicians, on the other hand,... More

Four of us stopped I'm the evening of July 5th, 2014. We selected this place due to the good reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. My wife had pork in a special sauce and I had grouper. Both were very good and the other folks with us really enjoyed their meals. If in Mount Dora, go here! You... More

What sold me on the place was the vegetarian sandwich with grilled vegetables. The secret ingredient is the layer of potatoes in the sandwich and their special sauces. Wow. So we weren't back in the evening for a drink and i had the absolutely best mojito ever. My husband's rum and pineapple juice was also the best we ever tasted.... More

I'm not sure why I've waited so long to submit a review of this place.I've been here 4 times and plan on returning every time I'm in Mt.Dora.the food here has been consistently excellent, however I agree with other's about the service,it does not match the quality of the food.I've had the sampler platter of appetizers, very good and really... So I am from Miami, home of the Cuban everything! We stopped here for lunch and the thing that I loved the most is that they have a veggie menu! This is never done in Miami and if you ask anyone Cuban, veggie menu's are unheard of. I am so glad they have it though bc as a '''non-meat eater''... More

We went here for lunch and got seated and served right away. We got our orders quickly and the food was fantastic. We were looking forward to some nice Cuban coffee. Instead we sat and sat. The gentleman who was serving us seemed to be more interested in sitting with other people at their tables. Finally, I had to get... More

The best cuban food I've had in a while and I'm from Miami. As full as the restaurant was our food came out at a timely matter, portions were plentiful our mojitos were delicious BUT the owner gave us the impression he isn't a pleasant person. He kept pulling our waitress aside side and gesturing unpleasantness. He was down right... More

Wife and I were out for a little drive and decided to stop at Copacabana for a "cuban" lunch. Greeted immediately and seated right away. Wife had a cocktail and I enjoyed a nice fresh Presidente draft beer. Fairly extensive menu for lunch and we had the "Picadillo" and the "Pescado" lunch items. For Cuban food it was neither exceptional... More

Atmosphere is average; food is good. Service was lacking during our visit. We first had the bartender as our waiter, then the owner... and by the time we were looking for the check, we had to get up and find someone to take our money. That's pretty frustrating. But, the place was very popular and it's obvious that the owner... More

We visited Mt. Dora last year with my cousins. While there, we stumbled onto Copacabana, a place they had never been to. At that time, we just wanted a snack and the the restaurant was just about to close to prepare for diner service - but we all got some café con leche and buttered pan cubano. Just what we... More
