I'm not even a fan of Mexican food & I loved this place. The Guac was amazing. The staff incredibly friendly. Great prices. Generous portions
We had a Sunday afternoon meal here with some friends last weekend. We all had the house margaritas, 2 for 1, which they pour in one glass, but it was big and very good. One guest ordered a special margarita and although he said it was good, was no where near as big as ours were. The lunch menu we... More
There are two types of Mexican restaurants that you can visit. The ones who serve traditional Mexican food and the ones that serve a fusion of Mexican-American plates, better called Tex-mex. This one is definitely a Tex-mex. I visited the restaurant with a group of friends and we had a great time. The atmosphere of the place is nice. The... More
Mt Dora's only Mexican themed restaurant lacks much atmosphere and the food is bland and ordinary. The prices aren't bad, but there is no imagination in the dishes and presentations are not all that appetizing.

When we finally ordered, the food came rapidly, very hot, but then the server disappeared... More
We stopped here before heading back to Orlando to eat something light since it was mid afternoon. They have a happy hour that starts at 2 pm!!! We shared one margarita, since I had to drive, and ordered the shrimp quesadilla to share. The shrimp were cooked just right and the quesadilla was light and crispy. It was full which... More
Good food with lots of choices. Good happy hour. Good and friendly service. Clean. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar room looked nice, but we ate in the main dining room. Parking on street and in lot across the street. We will come back.
I also reviewed El Ranchito in Leesburg, FL down the road a bit from Fiesta Grande and they are both good in different ways. Fiesta Grande has a great atmosphere just like most restaurants in Mount Dora. They keep the Mexican theme from the time you walk up to the door until you leave. We've had many of the menu... More
When dining in Mt. Dora we almost always choose Thai. However, the smells wafting from Fiesta Grande were enticing, so we walked over and checked out the menu. Smelt great, looked great! So we gave them a try and were not sorry we skipped the nearby Thai restaurant. This is not our preferred Tex-Mex style of Mexican, but it was... More
