Best Ribs and Fixins

BBQ in gas station/store has great country ribs. This is the place we get our ribs. No need for us to cook when we can get these tender juicy ribs. BBQ chicken is also a good choice. Some of the sides are hit or miss. The fries and cole slaw are consistently good. The baked goods are fresh and... read more

Oh dear heavens, this fun place has good grub no matter what you choose! It ain't for the country club types which is why I like it.

When I asked a local about where to go for BBQ, I got a big smile and was told to go to the "gas station on 441". More specifically, it's a Marathon convenience station with a very small, somewhat isolated "diner" inside, perhaps 8 tables, self service style. No different than countless gas stations we've all driven past, except this... More

Bought take out fish fry and french fries. When I arrived home, I noticed there were hardly any french fries in 3 of the 4 orders I bought. One order had 9 french fries, another 11 and 12. Only 1 order had a respectful amount of fries. I called and complained and was rudely told that they take a handful... More

This quirky spot tries, with some success, to be an old fashioned country store with food. It definitely is a filling station, and sells food items. The BBQ is pretty much Florida average, but if you are in the area it makes a good lunch.

Like I can fill up my gas tank and get some BBQ to go. Friendly staff, lots of tables from picnic to inside.

The gas station ambiance was fun and the food was just fine for a simple breakfast, with big servings. One caveat to vegetarians, or others with healthy eating habits, everything was cooked in bacon grease. But considering that nothing else is open around Micanopy that time of morning, it's better than driving around in Gainesville traffic looking for a busy... More

Pearl used to be one of our favorite places to eat. We used to look forward to staying at Paynes Prairie to get take out from Pearl, especially on Friday nights when they have the catfish filets. Used to get 2 nice thick filets, hush puppies and choices of side for $7.95. The price is the same but the fish... More

We were looking for something different and we found it. Staff was great and food was delicious! We had pork sandwiches, chicken, mac and cheese and baked beans. All were wonderful! Husband and son loved their chocolate peanut butter pie too!! Will stop again if in the area!!

My husand and I have been to Pearls Country Store 2 times. They have really good BBQ but definitely lack in the customer service department! The girls that take your order make you feel like your a bother to them. Their sides are average but their sweet potato fries always taste like they have been fried in very old oil!... More
