Honestly, I can't ever remember frequenting a bakery where the baker is good at both bread baking and sweet baking, but Mosswood Farm Store excels at both. The bread is so good I regularly drive over an hour just to purchase a few loaves. Their baked goods are irresistible. The store is so charming that it is not uncommon to... More

Very good Indian Samosa and Black bean Empanada with a Clementine Izzy Drink. We pulled the car just up the street to eat under the gazebo in town. Great little place for sweets and coffee as well.

Whenever I am in doubt about whether or not I want to return to Micanopy - is it worth an hour-plus trip from Cedar Key where we are staying - I remember the Mosswood Farm Store - I needed some unique products like alvera deodorant/stinky green tea shampoo/peppermint body wash/japanese oil soap - stuff that may or may not be... So, I moved to Ocala back in July and really was taken aback that the town really doesn't have a great coffee place to go and hang at....then two weeks ago, I found Mosswood! Even though it's a 20 mile drive, man, what a fun place! Great goodies to shop for, while I did not partake in any of their... More

Bread baked in an outdoor open oven to where the crust is so hard an inch in its hard to cut or eat. The other pastries are good, full of sugar and overpriced. They sell fresh farm eggs, raw milk for your animals consumption, fresh brewed coffee, organic produce not always available, other items so you don't have to make... More

Very nice bakery located next to local museum. I bought an artisan loaf of bread (Rosemary sea salt) and two types of brownies(Chocolate and Chocolate with caramel topping). The bread was very good and almost gone in one day at my home. I also ate the Brownie with cream caramel topping and it is just perfect! Brownies are large enough... More

An old-timey country store with some nice locally made jams, and their sour dough bread was awesome!

A lovely place, right in Micanopy, to sit and enjoy a cappuccino and a brownie or other dessert. We visited twice recently and enjoyed just relaxing out in the backyard of the establishment, watching the squirrels run and the giant pines and moss-draped oaks sway.
