Four of us came here for lunch on Saturday. There were drink specials that we decided to take advantage of however my friend's Pina Colada was awful, thin, watery and runny so she sent it back for a strawberry daquiri instead which was much better. The $2.00 Mimosas for lunch were a great bargain! Our server seemed to be rushed... More

On the Boarder was never the polestar for great Mexican food, but at least you could rely on hearty portions of pretty good Mexican fare. Perhaps it's the management or just a bad night, but on every level, this place seems to have gone down hill. The food was not good -- the chips were soggy; the steak was fatty;... More

We didn't realise there was one in the Miami area and were out this way playing mini golf. We love this chain and were not disappointed. It was late when we arrived, but we were not the last to dine. We were seated immediately and served drinks plus chips and salsa. The chips were really nice and thin and served... More

The food is ok, for tex-mex chain food. Queso is always good and the chips are made fresh. Salsa was improved from last visit. They were running an endless taco special so I ordered the barbacoa version. Three tiny tacos with not much meat and cheese. The second round they bring you two more, and these had a little more... I am not a fan of Mexican food but I do make the exception for On The Border, I 'discovered' them in the DFW area and have continued to visit while in that area. Yesterday (1/8/14) while working in Miami, FL I decided to go to the Miami Lakes location with my daughter who goes to school in the area.... More

Unfortunately for us the only thing I liked about my experience was the restaurant location. It is centrally located in the heart of my beautiful town Miami Lakes. The service was bad, at arrival wait time was excessive while there were several empty tables. Once at the dining table several servers passed by us with no word. After I decided... More

I would recommend if you are in the mood for Mexican. We had attention from many servers because it was slow but yet they were slow to catch on when my husband needed drink refills. we had to flag someone down for that.

Although the food was a little spicy for my delicate palate, I must say I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. A big hit for me was the real guacamole, it did not taste frozen or commercially produced.

I loved OTB when I lived in Texas, but in south Florida it's tough to find good Mexican food or TexMex for that matter. I had tried the OTB in Pembroke Pines (no longer there) on several occasions and it wasn't very good. Whoever is in charge of this one in Miami Lakes has done it right! The food was... More
