Something different

This is something different for us. Loved the atmosphere! The food was unique and good. The beer was definitely traditional, with amazing steins

Very happy here. Food reminded me of Germany; pretty close to as good as it gets here in the US. Service was great. Make sure you come hungry and sit outside. Lots of food and lots to see!

This was one of the best meals we had during our trip to Miami. We sat outside and watched the world go by as we ate. The beer was served in traditional steins and tasted like German beer should. The giant pretzel with cheese (Obazter Combo) that I had as a starter was absolutely delicious and the taste of it... More

After a week of intense cold in Kenora, ONT Canada, wandering the streets of Miami looking for a restaurant was the way to go! Using a GPS, I struck out twice with closed businesses, less than desirable neighborhoods, etc.: I dialed-up "German" and up popped "Hofbrau Beerhall" only a short distance away in Miami Beach. This time I called, got... More

Nice place to have large German beers (and related food) on the touristy Lincoln Street. Nice outdoor seating and people watching.

We ate at the Hofbrau Beerhall last week (January 2015) and thought the food was excellent. Naturally the Hofbrau Original Beer was outstanding. The restaurant is perfectly located in the Lincoln Pedestrian Mall and great for relaxing at the outdoor tables watching people go by.

Beer overpriced and food good, but bathroom is absolutely HORRIBLE. The knob for the hot water fell off when I lightly tried to turn it on. The building inside needs some serious updating. As long as you stay outside, it's ok. Gratuity was automatically added to a check for only two beers. I thought that was strange. Servers are not... More

Having been born in Germany and introducing my wife to German food we love to seek out German restaurants, and after getting married on the beach in the morning, heading in to the everglades to ride an air boat - we could think of no better way to round off our wedding day with just the two of us, than... We make a point of eating at Hofbrau Beer Hall on the Lincoln Mall each time we travel to South Beach and the food has been very good each time. This last trip we had the schweinebraten and substituted the pan fried potatoes in place of the potato dumpling. Delicious!! The jagerschnitzel is excellent also. If you go during happy... More

My family (including my 18 month old) visited while we were in Miami Beach and we had a great time. We sat inside because it was hot outside, and the service was outstanding. The servers were saying hi to my son and helped us pick out our meal. We had sausage platters with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, which were very... More
