Located right on the patio and sidewalk in front of the Art-Deco Avalon hotel in South Beach, A fish called Avalon does wonders with seafood. They're crab cakes are spendid as well as any of their other seafood creations. Delicious seafood infused pastas and seafood combinations make this a must-stop if you're in the area. We stopped in A Fish Called Avalon on a whim and we were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and the food was great. I had the snapper and my partner the swordfish special and we both thought it was great. We both had the white gazpacho which was fantastic. Get ready to spend some money for this experience!

We were lucking for somewhere special to have fish. We had walked passed the restaurant a number of time over the week, the menu looked good, the restaurant always seemed popular and the Reviews on TripAdvisor were good. We had a very good meal and not too expensive. Friendly service and live music. The actual choice of Entres were not... More

It always feels good to leave a place very satisfied but it seldom happens. A fish called Avalon lived up to the expectations. Great tastes compared to many places that seem to ha forgotten all about herbs and salt. A very nice Mediterranean platter with several interesting flavours (incl. a hoummus to die for) was followed by shrimp linguini; perfect... More

Ideal situation, good food, interesting menu and nice service. This restaurant is worth going, with a wide variety of fish and seafood, as well as meat.. The service is friendly, South Beach type, and the location right on ocean drive is very nice. We were there on a Saturday night, so don't except a calm surrounding, but that's what Ocean... More

This restaurant is a sure thing in the middle of Ocean Drive. The outdoor atmosphere was nice and the live music was spot on. Our group had several seafood entrees and all were great and very fresh. What a great place in the loud ocean drive! We love the fish with raspberry and almonds and one of the best key lime pie we have ever eat! Very good service, rather elegant place and different than other restaurants in ocean drive. We recommend it!
