Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing our restaurant for your South Beach dining finale. We appreciate your taking time to write, and confess we are flattered that our appealing menu made it difficult for you to decide what to order. Your only solution is to return and taste more dishes, which we positively invite you to do. More

I can't say enough about the staff. They were very quick and accommodating. Made my five year old feel like a little king. Food was great and premium location. A real vacation treat.

We were walking along Ocean Drive and saw wait-staff with black T-Shirts that said "A Fish Called Avalon". We thought the name was clever and we had read several good reviews, so we gave it a shot. We were seated outside, which is really the place to sit. You can appreciate the "vibe" of Ocean Drive and still enjoy a... More

Dear Guest, First let me thank you for your generous praise of our tasty cuisine, attentive service, and romantic ambiance. Second, on behalf of all future visitors, thank you for pointing out the inexpensive parking that’s available in the nearby public garage. We walked the length of Ocean Drive and to be honest only two restaurants appealed, of which this was one. We were lucky enough to walk up and get a table outside, which is great for people watching. Service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Really delicious meal and good sized portions. The only thing to watch outside is... More

This place was recommended by the hotel reception wen we get there the ambiance looks more like a disco place then a restaurant the shade lights were so dark that I hardly find my table we had to wait long before some one take our order the fish was regular nothing special the service bad not attentive at all and... Dear Guest, Although we appreciate your feedback, we couldn’t help but wonder whether these comments were not about us, but about a different South Beach establishment. Our décor has never been described as looking like a dance club, so we’re puzzled. Please come and sample our award-winning cuisine and service on your next visit. You won’t be disappointed. More

We went here for a nicer dinner on Ocean Avenue with a large group (6) and was seated outside which was great. The outdoor area seemed more fitting as the inside area seemed a little stuffy. The food was great - we had the paella, twin lobsters, calamari, and mussels. Our waiter was good but went missing a little towards... More

For Ocean Drive, the food was pretty delicious. I thought the food was good. The service was also good. I would not recommend sitting outside. It is noisy and smells of exhaust and cigarettes.

Dear Guest, It’s true that conditions outdoors near the sidewalk can be less than perfect, especially when Ocean Drive is teeming with lively people. Thank you for writing about our tasty food and attentive service, and on your next visit please remind us to seat you inside. More

The food and view are fantastic. Alex is great. If you get him, you will have a nice night. If you get Andrew... um, run for the hills. He will mix up your order and then, when he "fixes it" he will bring you back the same piece of fish that you paid 30 bucks for and that he screwed... More

I read several reviews of Miami Beach Ocean Ave restaurants...and frankly was a bit put off. Lots led off with "endless Mojitos" and "buckets of beer" "come on's" and the like...Not very much about their food. Then I came across the review of A Fish Called Avalon...It looked intriguing, and as it turned out, it was. Located in the Art... More
