Great non smoking south beach restaurant

Great food, professional staff front to back, security to prevent sidewalk solicitors. Best part is complete non smoking. Recommend sitting first row on terrace.

My friend and I wandered down Ocean Drive looking for somewhere to have dinner. We settled on A Fish Called Avalon because the menu looked good, and there was live music right outside. We both enjoyed our meals, and my tuna was seared to perfection. The people and car watching was also fun. Great location and food!

We had a fantastic evening here. The service was great, the food was amazing and the live music made it even better. It may be a little more expensive than some of the restaurants on the strip but it is worth every extra penny.

The portions were huge and it was well worth the money we paid. Los to see whilst dining, the service was excellent.

Delicious seafood with a nice atmosphere. Food came out quickly and the server was attentive. given that this is on Ocean drive the customers were dressed from Fine diner wear to flip flops and bikini cover ups. Would have appreciated enforcing a dress code to eat inside given the price point of the meal.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a really nice formal dining experience on Ocean Drive. We opted for the seafood options (which is no surprise with the name of the place), Asian style calamari for a first course and then the Mahi Mahi nightly special for the main course. The waiting staff were very good, they explained the menu, and... More

Food was really good. Excellant bread with hummus given as part of meal - really nice. I had sea bass special done in a salt crust. Fish was wonderful. Crab cake starter also good.

Got a same day reservation, took a table on the sidewalk as the nice breeze offsets the temp and humidity even in mid June. Really a solid foodie menu, we had house salad, octopus appetizer, snapper and grouper, all were excellent and great service. Music on the stoop is a nice touch, watching all the crazies walk by was a... More

We came here to celebrate my friends bachelorette party for our "nice dinner". We had a wonderful time with our waiter Orlando. He was awesome and our food was the best. Everyone was pleased and they even had selections for the vegan I the group.. Will be back!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderfully upbeat recap of your friend’s bachelorette dinner. Our whole team--from our knowledgeable servers to those of us in the kitchen—are so pleased that everyone had a great time. Our main theme is seafood but, as you pointed out, we have other delectable options too. More

I was expecting more out of this restaurant to be honest. I read a bunch of Yelp.com reviews and was excited to try this place. We had the server named Alex who kind of seemed to hate his job. I wasn't impressed by his service to be honest. The food was hit or miss. The crab cake was very good,... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. I am so sorry that you were disappointed with the overall experience, but glad the crab cake merited a positive mention. We’d really appreciate a chance to change your mind, so please consider dining with us again, perhaps choosing different menu items. More
