I had a large business dinner here this month and i loved the location in SouthBeach, but i wouldn't choose this place if you are staying in downtown Miami. They accommodated our large group on short notice and paid attention to our needs. Our appetizers for the table were perfect and the fish was fresh and well prepared. The wine... More

This is by far the best seafood on Ocean Drive. Albeit the most expensive, it is worth it. A bit "nicer/dressier/quieter" place to dine in South Beach.

With the roots of the history going back to what Quinn's down the street was famous for. It is important to dine at a Fish Called Avalon. Bang Bang Shrimp good but not great, however The Octopus was grilled perfectly and if you want real Paella than this is probably 4 out of 5 stars, I mean its not from... More

We always come here when in Town. Our favorite restaurant on Ocean Drive. The best fish around. The orzo paella is to die for. A big dish loaded with shrimp, lobster, calamari, mussels, clams, etc mixed in orzo pasta. Serivce is always good and the outdoor dining is fabulous with the music playing right there. A must visit.

The restaurants on the forecourts and ex foyers of the hotels on Ocean Drive are almost without exception tourist traps offering minimal quality. So we were surprised to hear of this quality restaurant opearating out of the Avalon Hotel. This place is light years ahead of the opposition. Its so good that its almost embarrasing to be on the same... More

I understand as a european the culture is different in the US. But when I go to a restaurant (especially a restaurant as expensive as this) I like to enjoy my food. Unfortunately here I felt as if it was just a mission of a staff to get you out as quick as possible. Although this may be culturally normal... More

Picked this restaurant based on trip advisor review. Have been to south beach before, but always fascinated by action on street. Outside placement of table made sure we saw all action. Food fine. Service good. Lot of choices on south beach. This is ok choice.

A smaller restaurant with outdoor or indoor seating in the Avalon. There's a small bar just inside which served decent drinks. We enjoyed the baby greens salad, grouper, and snapper. Would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good fish and a smaller, intimate venue.

Had tried to get in to Joe's Stone Crab at 8:30pm but it was full with around 50 people waiting so we moved to find another Crab Restaurant - We came across this restaurant which had plenty of empty tables and crab on the menu at MP - We had a starter and asked the price of the crab which... More

Everything about the Avalon was spectacular - the food, the service, the atmosphere and the music! No one hustled you into have dinner - we just happened upon the magic naturally. Our dinner fare included homemade French onion soup, Caesar salad, and the freshly caught Mahi Mahi on roasted fresh vegetables followed by the Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée- all exquisitely... More
