A little pricey but worth it. Very good food, great place for date night if you have kids. The lobster dish is extremely good and enjoy a nice glass of wine with it. Situated across from the beach and on the major strip.

Had a great dinner here at the recommendation of the Concierge at the James Hotel. Wanted a view, but also knew many restaurants on Ocean Drive sacrifice food for location. Not here. Matre'd immediately greeted and got us seated at bar for a short wait. This restaurant actually had a security person stationed on the sidewalk to to shield patrons... More

A really great fish resturant with great staff. Food was excellent and well priced. Gets busy sometimes but no problem getting a table when we were there. Very highly recccomended to seafood lovers.

Just before the "lively chaos" between 5th and 11th Streets, A Fish Called Avalon is a really enjoyable spot for a meal. Great music accompanies attentive service and a wonderful selection of meal options (seafood especially). The portion sizes are absolutely huge and extremely flavorful (we had the infamous Orzo Paella and the Seafood Risotto and after a shared starter,... More

Please save yourself the trouble. Very disappointed with the experience and the food. That was my first and last visit. The service was horrible and be aware that gratuity is forced whether you received great service or not. Please yourself the trouble and headache and go to Joe Stone Crab and enjoy a fine meal.

Arrived without a booking, but we were immediately seated. Service was prompt, attentive and polite. The tables look nice with crisp white tablecloths. Had the Shrimp and the crab cakes as starters. Very tasty and well presented. For main course we had the grouper and the snapper. Again, they were delicious and very nicely presented. A bottle of Pinot Grigio... More

My girlfriend and I ate here during our girls weekend away in Miami. The food is excellent. Service is just ok. I highly recommend the bang bang shrimp and mediterranean octopus to start! Make a reaervation and request an outside table. If you enjoy people watching they have tables right on the aisewalk - european style

Ocean Drive in South Beach can be quite overwhelming with hundreds of walkers sharing the street with outdoor dinners. It did not seem possible to enjoy a fine seafood dinner and watch the crowds at the same time. A Fish Called Avalon provided the perfect setting to do both. If you sit on the porch you will you enjoy a... More

I don't have one negative thing to say about Avalon. Our server was attentive and everything we ate was amazing. Bang bang shrimp is a must. The macadamia snapper was perfectly cooked. Would go back in a heartbeat!
