From our seafood chowder to our key lime pie (and everything in between) this was a memorable dining experience! The jumbo stone crabs were excellent. We choose to eat outside and were happy we did. The service was impeccable. One of the best "finds" on Ocean Avenue.

Great restaurant situated on the beach front. We arrived at 10pm after having flown in from a long trip. They treated us with the utmost respect and did not want to rush our meal. The food was generous in portion size and delicious. I had a lobster salad that was fresh and tasty. My husband ate shrimp in a tomato... More

Reservation for 8PM, but since we were there in off-season, not busy at all. Nicely decorated for holidays. Starters: Shrimp cocktail (large shrimp) and seared scallops (the best!!!). Lobster bisque was ok, but no chunks of lobster like we usually get. Crab crusted grouper that hubby LOVED! I had a shrimp scampi provencal, but seasoning was way too strong for... More

We've been here for dinner several times over the past years. We keep going back because it is very reliable for food, service and setting. Good restaurants on Ocean Ave are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The food is well prepared, fresh fish with creative preparations. Service is attentive, helpful and friendly. A seat on the... More

This was my second time at this iconic seafood restaurant on Ocean Drive. It was so good the first time that I wanted to take my husband this time. We chose to eat inside to avoid the noise of South Beach. We were very lucky to have the same wonderful waiter, Orlando, that we had the last time. We is... More

I make sure to get to this restaurant every time I am in Miami and I have never regretted it. Was there this past weekend and we split the grouper entrée and the twin lobster tails. Was flat out great. The mojitos were also excellent and the tables on the patio are really nice. Overall, I can't say enough about... More

Our dinner at A Fish Called Avalon was excellent. I had the Macadamia-Crusted Snapper and asked for the raspberry-beaujolais beurre blanc to be kept on the side as I don't love raspberries, and our server was very sensitive to this request and assured me the kitchen would find an alternative for me if I didn't like it. I thought the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for noticing that, with the right approach, even vegetables become delectable! I’m delighted that you both enjoyed ingredients you’d been bypassing, and that everything was to your liking. I apologize for the loud music coming from a nearby establishment; as you indicated, our musician on the terrace plays a level that’s pleasant, not intrusive. Many thanks... More

As usual, the night before a flight, we treat ourself to a gourmet dinner. As it was Thanksgiving, we booked our table on the patio the night before. Luckily we did beacuse they have had people queuing and waiting till late. Our table was large enough to seat and eat comfortably, close to the main entrance, which didn't disturb us,... More

Wandering through the hustle and bustle of the photo card menu restaurants on the sometimes tack Ocean Drive strip you come to a little Oasis that is a Fish Called Avalon. First off a delightful Brazialian bar lady who was charming, knowledgeable and efficient. The Rum Punch was the best we tasted outside of the Carribean. The gin cucumber cocktail... More
