My husband and I, on a one-week vacation to the Miami area, decided to splurge one evening by going to this famous spot. We were well rewarded, despite the high tariff. The atmosphere could not have been better, on the porch on a balmy Miami Beach evening, where we could watch the passing, rather tame, parade of people. As for... More

Great restaurant amongst the craziness of South Beach. Sat on the front porch, had a great meal, enjoyed the scene.

Went here after it was recommended by the hotel concierge, and it did not disappoint. I had the shrimp scampi which was fantastic, while my son enjoyed the filet mignon. Great location, live music and an accommodating staff rounded out a terrific experience.

Saw this restaurant in a 'Dining Out' magazine, so decided to try it. I had the twin one lb lobsters, and they were perfectly steamed, albeit not very hot, but I blame that on the server, who seemed preoccupied with the couple 2 tables away from us. My wife ordered the snapper well done; it had to go back once,... More

It's often difficult to write a less than glowing review when you read so many excellent ones for the same establishment. I ate there on a Saturday evening with a group of friends (tourists) all looking forward to our Avalon experience - based on the hype! Whilst we had fun together I would say the restaurant didn't leave an impression... More

I actually ate here this past weekend with my fiancé. The restaurant was extremely busy when we got there and we sat waiting for our server for at least fifteen minutes. This happened again when we were waiting for our check at the end of the meal. Sitting outside, we had fun people watching. We did enjoy our meals, though... More

This restaurant is on a bustling corner. While there is seating on the porch area and street, we opted for inside due to the wind and crowds. There was live music on the porch, which filtered in. Our waiter was wonderful: he was attentive, considerate, and helped with our choices. The fish (I had tuna) was great. My friend had... More

We read the raving reviews of the Paella and decided to go here for dinner. The paella was a bit soupy I am used to more rice, but I also ordered steak which was fantastic. The ambiance is nice and the staff is very attentive. This is a classy spot that is centrally located, prices are reasonable for South Beach.... More

Had dinner here on our last night in South Beach. We were tired of marginal food on Ocean Drive and finally decided to eat here. I'm so glad we did. The food and service were amazing! Also, not over priced unlike the other ocean drive restaurants. A live band was also playing great music a bonus!
