Truly enjoyed a wonderful evening dining one level up from streetside on SoBe at A Fish Called Avalon. I enjoyed a flavorful salad with pear and candied walnuts while another patron enjoyed the lobster bisque...rated excellent! The main courses included moist and flavorful salmon seasoned to perfection while my friend enjoyed a NY Steak that was out of this world... More

The location is spot on. Sit on the patio for ocean breezes and people watching. The menu is small but well prepared and presented. The waiter, however seemed unfamiliar with the dishes and was hesitant to recommend. Mostly seafood on this menu but our non seafood eater was more than happy with the roasted vegetable plate.

We had dinner here last weekend. The food was excellent. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp. This is very different from the Bonefish version. The appetizer is 3 shrimp grilled in a turmeric-curry spice mixture with a mint-yogurt sauce and cucumber-pepper relish. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauces were very nice. I had the crab crusted grouper.... More

Amazing restaurant! The food was superb. For appetizers we had the calamari (which was very generous) and the crab cake (melts in your mouth). For mains we tried the tuna and the macadamia crusted snapper which was very special! Overall we enjoyed the relaxing ambiance and the live music.

What drew us to this spot is the fact that we were not accosted by waiters/hostess' to come into their restaurant - "2 for 1 drinks" was getting quite tiring. Both my husband and I had a salad - fantastic, I had the macadamian encrusted fish which was to die for and my husband had the chicken dish which was... More

A beautiful art deco historic building, very elegant & also a hotel, we had the best dining experience. You can sit at a table outside across from the beach with music playing or in the charming interior. Our waiter was great as he served us crab encrusted grouper and the tarragon twin lobster tails. The food was excellent, beautifully plated,... More

The food was excellent! The waiter was attentive and pleasant. The price was EXPENSIVE! My wife and I were there for our 2nd Anniversary and the 2 of us ate and had a $185 bill before tip. OUCH! But it is South Beach...

My husband and I were happy to find this lovely restaurant that was an oasis in the madness. We had a quiet dinner outdoors. The service was attentive and the wine and food excellent.

We were staying in Miami for 4 nights with a group of friends celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. I had pre-booked a couple of restaurants prior to travelling but left the Friday night free. Staying at the Loews our Concierge recommended Avalon and boy did he get it right! We had the most fantastic meal! I had the Asian calamari... More

My husband and I dined here on our first night in South Beach and loved it. We both ordered the Seafood Risotto and it was delicious. We would definitely return and hopefully soon.
