Best meal

Great food, music and atmosphere. We were guests of the hotel and was unaware of the restaurant. Busy, fun, and good.

This is a first class restaurant by anyone's standards. The menu, food & professional service was the best we experienced while in Miami Beach. Fresh fish, great paella, extensive wine list all added up to a great evening. A bit pricey but worth your attention.

A wonderful experience. The service is amazing only to be exceeded by the food. Sit outside and enjoy a warm Miami Beach night of people watching. The Art Deco area is exciting and you won't be disappointed by the food. Fresh and perfectly prepared. A trip to Miami Beach is negligent without dinner here.

There are many and many choices of restaurants out there, if you walk the street on the beach. This one... classy, not too expensive, but maybe a bit more than others out there... but who cares when the food is that good. Not just even the fish, gosh, the filet minion was so good!

We have always made time to go to A Fish Called Avalon when we visit Miami and this time was no exception for excellence. We had a wonderful table on the terrace watching the night life of Miami walk by. Food is always wonderful. Drinks and wine selection top notch. And the service very good. Always a great and memorable... More

On our last night in SoBe, we wanted good seafood. A Fish Called Avalon did not disappoint. We shared a grilled octopus--incredibly tender and flavorful. Macadamia crusted snapper and miso tuna were our entrees, and both were excellent. We split an excellent key lime pie for dessert. Really a good meal, with friendly and attentive service.

We had one night in Miami at the end of two weeks touring Florida and having been to A Fish Called Avalon last year we were keen to return. We were not disappointed. Seated on the front patio, up from the pavement but still right on top of the action was a perfect place to people watch. The music was... More

Try the crème brûlée for a nice treat after dinner. If they have heirloom tomatoes on the appetizer menu, it will be a delicious starter. The salmon, seared tuna, and paella are our favorite. Sometimes the service can be slow but it is always attentive. Allow yourself a little extra time dining here.

Great selection. Had bang bang shrimp and macadamia crusted snapper. Shrimp was a little too curry for my taste. Fish was amazing. Waiter made great recommendations. The bread and special dip they provide is fantastic. Sitting next to fresh flowers under a palm tree right by the beach. Live soothing music on a Monday night. I'm very pleased.

Dear Guest, Your note conveys an irresistible image of what it’s like to dine with us -- especially in February when snow and ice cover much of America to the north. Your comments are deeply appreciated, and thanks for writing. Warm regards, Pascal Pinault, Food & Beverage Director More

Located right on the patio and sidewalk in front of the Art-Deco Avalon hotel in South Beach, A fish called Avalon does wonders with seafood. They're crab cakes are spendid as well as any of their other seafood creations. Delicious seafood infused pastas and seafood combinations make this a must-stop if you're in the area.
