Big Plates. Good Breakfast Food. Fun People Watching. In the Heart of It All. My wife had an omlette. I had the breakfast special--eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, English muffin and oragnge juice. I liked it.

The food is good and they serve you hefty portions, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is super friendly. the hot chocolate is the best!

If you want to people watch then just buy a coffee. If you want good food go elsewhere. My huevos rancheres were cold and I sent them back. The News Cafe is in a good location on Ocean Drive and has a nice outdoor seating area. We only ever had breakfast here and found the service slow and generally miserable, and the food overpriced but it is good quality. A bit of a tourist trap, there are many cheaper and better options around.

Had lunch at this Ocean Blvd cafe = great value , but curious to know what himself had before he was murdered a few doors away. Brilliant location and great for people watching.

We had various meals there while visiting Miami and everything was good, especially the turkey burgers (had em twice). Service was excellent in addition to the people watching. It isn't cheap--none of the SOBE places are--but the large, delicious portions more than make up for it. And yes, I recommend the turkey burgers! :-)

We didn't realize that the News Cafe was open 24 hours, otherwise would have gotten there earlier as we were setting out for the Keys that day. We ate here twice during our visit to south beach. All of the food we had was amazing. Prices were pretty good for the Miami Beach area. Servings are BIG.
