Highly overrated, stone crabs are stone crabs anywhere so long as they are fresh, that is in season from Oct-May. Joe's are fine with mustard honey sauce and shoe string potatoes. It is not well worth the waiting, when you can have the same sea fruit right next door for less cost, no wait. Try it, you will like it... More

Had a group of 10 business associates last night for drinks and dinner. Joe's is run "old school", meaning "there taking care of business". I just love that. There are very few places anymore that you get what you pay for. The place is run like the well oiled machine that it is. Servers are first rate, food excellent, and... More

If you get there by 5:30 PM you probably wont have to wait. Great fish. We had their classic combo with 2 king crabs and 3 stone crabs. Comes with all the sides and dessert/coffee for about $42. Total bill with tip was just a bit over $100 for two (no wine). No really that bad for this quality.

It is a vey long wait so I would suggest bringing a book or something, but once you get seated, it was all worth it! I loved how the waiters carried the trays high above their heads. We ordered an the food came rather quickly! I had the best spinach I've ever had, some warm hash browns, and some macaroni... More

Honestly, I expected more. I knew it would be crowded, but I didn't realize the queue would be so disorganized. It took a long time to figure what was happening. Service was not good, the waiter didn't pay much attention to us, was always in a hurry - to have an idea, when I was about to order the check... More

While this is one of South Beach's iconic restaurants, it has grown into a glitz show. We arrived about 7:30 on a mid-week night to find the wait was 2 hours, but we could have the bar menu immediately. Being hungry and not willing to wait 2 hours for a stone crab claw, we settled for the bar. Everything was... More

The food was, at best, was okay. Most of the vegetables were not hot. We had a great waiter, Chinese guy, who gave us advice in what to order, and he was right on. One has to eat there for the experience, but I am sure there are better rest. For the money

The "take out" side of this restaurant offers "eat in" as well as "take out" service. The grouper sandwiches were terrific and so fresh. This was one of the few places in Miami Beach that offered grouper sandwiches. And be sure to try their key lime pie which we thought was the best ever.

This was our second visit to Miami in one year. we had visited Joe's Stone Crab for lunch in February and loved it. We were really looking forward to a repeat visit. In February our waiter was this great big guy who talked to us a little bit about the restaurant and its history. This time we came for dinner... More
