What can you say about Joe's Stone Crabs that has not been written before? It is The Destination Restaurant in Miami, open for 7 months of the year, seats nearly 800 people at any one time and grosses $38MM per annum! The stone crabs are delicious, the mustard mayonnaise deligthtful and the key lime pie beyond sublime. The waiting staff... More

Although we have been to Miami many times before, surprisingly this was our first visit to the institution that is Joe's Stone Crabs and it was truly worth waiting for! It is a bit tucked away at the bottom end of Ocean Drive/Collins but it's only 5-10 minutes walk from the main drag. There aren't any reservations allowed so either... More

Each year the prices go up,some dishes get smaller (creamed spinach), some tables for 4 are ridiculously small, and fortunately this time not next to the bus boys station where they literally throw the plates into trays making a huge raquet. Apart from these details quality of the dishes all very good, service excellent, and the bar always rowdy and... More

Great food, good experience. Calamari is big enough to share and best I've had for years. Mahi Mahi was delicious. Wife enjoyed her food immensely too, especially the Key Lime pie.

There's a reason Joe's is celebrating it's 100th Anniversary....it is a Miami Beach institution! It's big, busy, elegant, and exciting. Yes, pricey, but the food was just delicious, the steaks are as good as the wonderful stone crabs, and the key lime pie is light and creamy. If you love Miami, eat at this beautiful, historic South Beach location, if... More

We were here for lunch, which was not expensive at all. The seafood was amazing, not much else to add. Grilled scallops were out of this world. The only thing that I found not too impressive was their famous hash brown (the one with a recipe unchanged for the past 100 years), nothing particularly special.

Over priced and a tad too much hype for the experience. Not to be skips however there are others where food as good without the price tag.

Joe's Stone Crab is not open all year, so make sure that you call them before you visit them. I don't think they take reservations either and the wait is sometimes long, but it is all worth it. Their stone crabs are wonderful and so is the clam chowder. The noise (due to the fact that the restaurant is always... More

If you can put up with waiting in line on the street, the noise, the overcrowded place. If you like factory restaurants Joe's Stone Crab is your place. It is quite expensive and frankly I am wondering what you are paying for. The stone crab is OK.
