Joes recaptured my heart & provided another great memory

Our family last visited this joes in 1999, & I still recall how they treated my dad with respect and patience during a long table wait...and we all had a lovely meal. Fast forward to this evening- and I stand before Ed at the desk, and explain that the young man next to me is named for the... read more

Our second visit to this popular restaurant and our last. Known for their "stone crabs", they taste like the ice water they've been sitting in, tasteless. Everything we ordered other than the drinks, are fair at best.

On a brief trip to Miami we returned to one of our favourite local landmarks for an early dinner. The restaurant seemed as popular as ever and the food and service as good as we remember. A pleasure.

You have to read up a little on the history of this restaurant to appreciate it. I have had stone crab in many places but none like here. The side dishes are also classic. I hear the chicken and fish are very good also however I have only had stone crab the many times I have been there. You won't... More

Having dined at Joes Stone Crab before we made a point of trying the restaurant in Miami. Even on a Monday evening the restaurant was packed not that we were bothered as we enjoyed a drink at the bar and people watched until our table was available. We loved the Oysters to start and the traditional crab claws followed by... More

The food here was pretty good, but expect to have a long wait. My wife and I went here on a Saturday night around 6. They don't take reservations, so you just have to wait. We ended up waiting around 2.5 hours before being seated. The stone crabs are the best around. The other food was good as well.

With so much stone crab, the side dishes were hardly eaten. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good stone crab, cracked so it was not difficult to reach the crabmeat. Just remember if you want to avoid the wait for a table, go early or go late to avoid the line.

This place is the best!! I love seafood and this did not disappoint. We arrived when they opened on Wednesday and there was no wait. The cooler temperatures may have bee a factor. Our waiter was Gabriel and he was wonderful. I had the mixed seafood platter with a lobster tail, 2 jumbo shrimp, 2 oyster and 2 crab claws.... More

The creamy soap is a good start. Try the trio combo for the mail and you will have 3 great crabs. Our side was grilled tomatoes and cheese. The place is big and surprising. And the service was great. This is a "must do in Miami"!
