Description: YUCA, an acronym for Young Urban Cuban-Americans, is widely known as being South Florida's original upscale Cuban restaurant featuring Innovative Nuevo Latino Cuisine or as the locals call it "Nuevo Latino." This style of cooking includes traditional Latin ingredients such as a plethora of textures, colors, and flavors that when combined creates a cuisine that is unique to anything offered outside of the Caribbean and Latin America.

The restaurant is in the trendiest place of Miami, just sitting outside while dining you can see flocks of tourists and flocks of "watch me! watch me!" people of all species. The service is attentive, staff is kind and really willing to help and to give you one more beer...but this is the business baby! Anyway dishes are decent, well... More

If you are looking for great Cuban food, look no further than Yuca. Nestled in South Beach, this restaurant offers authentic Cuban food at very reasonable prices. The waiter gave his recommendations from start to finish and he was spot on! From the Piquillose de Pepin to the Guacamole to the Ropa Vieja Angus, there was NO disappointment!! I will... More

Absolutely nothing special, food not even flavorful. Speciality drinks are very expensive, service is attentive with a nice location to watch a sea of humanity drift by. I would look elsewhere if you crave fine dining.

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night and the food was just okay. I had high expectations given that Miami has a huge Cuban scene, but the food was just average. I've had better, cheaper and more flavorful Cuban food back home in Chicago. The portions were fairly small and expensive for what you got. Most of the dishes... More

Stumbled up on this cuban food joint in the south beach, in the middle of a line of shops and restaurants. We visited on a sunday, when there a farmer's market set near this restaurant. They have seating outdoor and we chose indoor due to the size of our party. They served great margaritas and their happy hour lasts till... More

Went here for girls weekend dinner to celebrate a 40th birthday-service was fantastic & incredibly attentive. The food is so flavorful, drinks are delish-order a bunch of appetizers to sample, you will not be disappointed. Sit outside to enjoy the fascinating parade of people. One interesting note- you will be approached by panhandlers asking for money if you sit outside... More

We had lunch here. The food was pretty good. Not great, but not bad. We both had the churrasco steak. The steak was ok, a little lacking in flavor. The plantains (maduras) were outstanding, the mojitos were good (one was ok and one was very good). Service was very good (Cristobal). I hate that south beach includes the tip ;... More

Our first day in South Beach & it was pouring. Fernando at the Raleigh Hotel suggested shopping on Lincoln Road & lunch at Yuca. The Don Mojito was the the best mojito in South Beach & believe me, I tried many. The food, service & drink was so good, authentic Cuban all the way, that we found ourselves back there... More

On our first night in SOBE we stumbled on Yuca. We were drawn to the fusion aspect of the food since we are basically clueless about Cuban food. The salmon mango tartar starter was very fresh and had a lovely sweetness. I had the pork shank with black beans and rice. The pork was tender and flavorful, but the rice... More

Yuca has an indoor and an outdoor seating area. We sat outside. The waiters are dressed completely in black: shirts, pants and straw fedora hats. Our waiter was a little pushy about trying to get us to order drinks. Otherwise, we got good, friendly attentive service. When you sit outside, the people passing by give you quite a show. There...
