The food is good, small but good, I wouldn't recommend sharing. Cocktails are flavorful, and the waiters are kind, The panna cotta is good.
Really enjoyed the bartender but the drinks were $13 in the smallest glass I've ever seen for a kettle soda. Then they added their own 18%grat even though there was only 2 of us! Watermelon salad good, bacon dates good, drinks sucked! Such a great atmosphere but go already buzzed so you can just go and look around!
On our annual trip to Florida, met up with old friends at the Yuca. The restaurant was chosen by our friends, knowing that I have a fondness for Cuban food when visiting Miami. We elected to sit indoors. The ambiance of the restaurant inside was quiet with dim lights, outside was lively and bright, but because we haven't seen our... More
Our friend recommended two Cuban restaurants. We went to the hotel concierge to ask which was better and he insisted we go to Yuca instead of the two. We made reservations for 9pm. It was not necessary as the place was pretty empty. The place looks great. Extremely well decorated. The waiters are dressed somewhat in a Cuban look. Our... More
Last night's dinner was an experience in amateur night! We had to ask for utensils/napkins; beer spilled over the table & we had to clean up; a bun fell to the floor and was promptly placed back into the basket, etc etc! Food OK, but not great for the price. Brian
Yuca has an excellent selection of small and large plates. I went with a salad and empanada appetizer; they couldn't been fresher or more flavorful. I also sampled the guacamole, the ropa vieja and a pork shank, and all were excellent. Plus, the restaurant has a nice, rustic look, and isn't too bad a value for this tourist town, either!
Definitely come here if you are out and about and shopping on Lincoln for some authentic Cuban cuisine. The staff was excellent and helpful in choosing some dishes from the large menu. Delicioso!
What a disaster. How long have they been in business?! I mean, it was like bad amateurs night! Here's why: 1. Awful service: server seemed in-over-his-head, despite the lack of customers -- at least half the tables were empty on a Friday night. We had to repeatedly ask other staff to beg our server to return to our table to... More
My son and I ate here for lunch. Not knowing what to get and not wanting anything heavy, he got the ceviche and I had the guacamole and the black bean soup. The ceviche was fresh and good, the guac was supposed to be spicy and wasn't. It had a little bit of 'habanero' sauce on the top, but you couldn't... More
