Food lovely but very expensive

My husband and I got the recommendation to go to Yuca for our dinner. Everyone we asked about it said the same thing, food good but expensive however we wanted to try it anyway. The service was excellent, the guy dealing with us 'Fran' was great. Really informative, friendly, smiley and gave the... read more

I read the reviews from others and thought we should try this place. I wish we would have chosen somewhere else. The food was okay but the service was rotten. If you are looking for real Cuban food this wouldn't be the place to go.

Had a tasty meal here - the pork on the special board was very tender and fell off the bone. Stylish restaurant. However, felt the meal was very expensive for what is was and the wine list was extremely pricey.

This restaurant was recommended by a local couple and is located on the highly trafficked Lincoln Ave mall. The food and service were mediocre at best. I'd prefer to spend my money on higher quality food.

Wonderful drink specials! I had a delicious white sangria for only $4! The food was tasty and well-portioned for lunch! The hummus appetizer was flavorful and brought enough for 3 of us to enjoy. Service was good and prices great!

We came to Yuca on 4/7/2015 to celebrate my friends’ birthday. We made a reservation through OpenTable for 8:30PM and we arrived a little late around 8:40PM but were seated quickly. We ordered pretty quickly – I ordered calamari as an appetizer and while they were dripping with oil, the sauce that it came with did make it better. Around... More

Dinner for 7. Really nice and attentive service. Very mixed comments about the food. It may be that because of the Cuban influence a number of the dishes were a bit sweet. Fish a little overcooked so too dry for me. Lovely broccolini and gazpacho. Not cheap at $450+ so wouldn't rush back. Overall assessment is average and overpriced. Perhaps... More

Day three of our visit in Miami, our daughter requested Cuban food for dinner- specifically, Yuca. We had passed it several times in the Lincoln Road mall and the modern, white décor appealed to our design conscious nine year old. The food and restaurant represent the spirit of their name YUCA..classic dishes updated and plated beautifully. If you are looking... More

Yuca is on Lincoln Road, where the tourism is on full force. This kind of atmosphere almost always reduces the quality of the food, but Yuca stays true to it's Cuban roots. My husband and I were there for dinner on one of the busiest weekends and we were seated right away. My husband ordered the Cuban Paella and I... More

My husband and I were with a tour group that stayed in Miami Beach for 5 days. One of the dinner places we were taken was YUCA. This eatery is on the Lincoln Road Mall. Everyone in our group raved about the Mojitos. My husband and I tried them and we didn’t like them but if you like Mojitos, supposedly... More
