Good food, obnoxious & poor service

Had a recent business dinner for a party of 10. The evening started off OK when the waiter said that he was going to be our "friend". Then our friend proceeded to "suggest" that we start with a round of Mojitos which we really didn't want or agree to but he brought anyway. Next we requested... read more

We really enjoyed this place. We love the atmosphere on Espanola Way. The food was delicious too. Sometimes in a tourist trap like espanola way its hard to have a really good meal. We had the large Ceviche appetite to share with another couple. That was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the mussels I ordered in curry coconut sauce.... More

Sorry but my dinner, something with risotto, shrimp, mussels and lobster, although beautifully presented, lacked in the lobster department I think it was a "chef's special", but lobster was waaaay overdone and inedible. So tough I had to "saw" with a knife and finally gave up and left it covered by the shell. Flavor of dish was good, just sorry... More

Visited here on New Years Eve hoping for a special night with the family. We came away terribly disappointed. The food was good and the mojitos were rather good. HOWEVER, definitely not worth the price. The biggest scam is the automatic gratuity of 18%. For this you would expect to be waited on hand and foot. Instead, we were seated... More

Adequately entertaining restaurant and satisfying food that delivers an expensive meal with poor service. A toddler required a waiter's walk down the block for a high chair from another restaurant owned by same company. A newly seated group had waiters scurrying to move the shared heat lamp away from them and our child important for comfort in night air with... More

I had the 20oz steak and ordered Lobster tail and tiger shrimp for my wife. Service was good, but for this establishment it has to be, this was actually not far from our hotel, we didn't plan or review this restaurant. Food was excellent, service, second to none. No prices on the menu, I think the shock would put you... More

We had a lunch with my friends here. I took mahi mahi fish with rice and avocado ($24) and it had a mouth watering look and was really tasty. My friend took seabass - it was good too. Service was also good. Prices are not very cheap but still reasonable. Worth visiting.

Café Nuvo Seafood and Pasta is influenced, they told us, by Spanish, French, and Italian cuisines for a Mediterranean feel. We started with a Mixed Ceviche that was a tray of 4 ceviche recipes. They were all delicious, and we devoured them. My husband ate grouper and loved it. I had the Peruvian Corvina and raved about it. This meal... More
