Average sushi, great everything else

My young son and I were greeted by a drop-dead gorgeous hostess whose tone and look said, "Oh, I am so disappointed you are not George Clooney." Perhaps it was because I ignored it and greeted her as if I was happy to see her. Whatever it was, the ennui instantly disappeared and from that point... read more

I always try to hit up Bobby D's place when I'm in the mood for sushi. Its right off the beach, behind the pool at The Shore Club, so its spectacular on summer evenings. I know this place so well, so trust me and follow my instructions directly - I'll order for you. You'll start with the kobe beef and... More

My wife and I went to Nobu to celebrate an anniversary. Big mistake. The sushi here is very good, though extremely overpriced, but you would think that the exorbitant prices would at least keep away the riffraff. No such luck. We asked for a quiet table, or at least as quite as can be expected in a big room which... More

Went here for my birthday last week, with 3 good friends...Man o man, great is the word! I have been to Nobu Los Angeles, Tribeca NYC, Paradise Island, and this one various times. I discovered Nobu in Tribeca way back, late 1990's. Its not just about Sushi, its about what you order. Secrets out now, and a lot of people... More

I love the food here, and stop in whenever I'm in Miami. The food is fresh and seasoned well, the rock shrimp is addictive. However, know that you are going to Nobu and Nobu has expensive, small portions. It is what it is. They like it that way. The wait staff is always fairly aloof but never rude, at least... More

What a strange and inauthentic experience. When entering, the entire staff greets you like a traditional sushi bar - very loud and continues all night with each new guest - how annoying. But - this is no traditional sushi bar - it has become a theme park - an expensive one. I tried for two days to change my reservation... More

Famous for their sushi Nobu is a great Japanese place. Their sushi is their specialty, always ask for their new rolls sometimes not in the menu..

Took out of town guest to Nobu last evening. Had never been there before and would not return again. Service was fine but food is adequate, way over priced and portions very small. Was extremely expensive and over all very disappointed!

My friend and I went to Nobu on a whim on our last night in Miami. She wanted oysters and I was in the mood for sushi. However, the menu was so big, and the individual items so pricy, that we decided on the $120 tasting menu so we could sample a little bit of everything. We definitely made the... More
