Reasonable price, very good drinks, japanese style food but the place was quite empty and no views. Its ok if you are staying at the hotel or if you are looking for a place quiet.

We stopped in for a treat one evening and were seated right away. Very pleasant service. The menu looked DELICIOUS and made us wish we had stopped by earlier in the evening for dinner. Dessert was yummy!

We were staying at the adjacent Essex House hotel and were not prepared for the hotel restaurant (Zen Sai) to be so good! My experience with hotel restaurants is not great, but this place deserves a detour, even if you're not staying at the hotel! The staff is very friendly and professional and the food fresh, inventive and delicious. The... More

Friends and I had a wonderful meal and had a great time chatting with the bartender Julio. We went back a few days for the happy hour specials!

Did the $39 four course meal. Great bang for the buck. Service was amazing. Alicia H waited on me and was by far the best server I've seen in a long time. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were looking for a non-touristy S. Beach spot for some great food and atmosphere. We were staying at a hotel nearby and read some good reviews about Zen Sai on Trip Advisor and some other websites so we thought we would give it a try. Honestly, it lived up to our expectations. The service was outstanding!... More

We ate here one night while staying at The Essex House hotel (the restaurant is inside the hotel). The menu is nothing short of amazing. Be sure to try the miso cod and the bok choy - unbelievable! The food is beautifully presented and tastes wonderful. A must if you're in South Beach!

A great little restaurant in good location offering tasty food, a little bit different than the usual tourist places on the beach front.

Best meal of the trip. Delicious and creative! Zen Sai serves up Asian inspired, tapas style dishes. We came in with a group of seven, which was great so we could try a lot of the different dishes. The big hits were the black cod sea bass, and the crispy bok choy. What really pushed this to a 5 star... More

Went to Zen Sai on the 4th of July and what we found was a very modern but simple decorated restaurant located at the Essex Hotel. I found the location to be perfect as you are right close to the action on Ocean Drive but this restaurant offers way more privacy. Apart from the location we found our server Jose... More
