Very popular spot with locals and visitors alike- a wonderful Peruvian restaurant. Atmosphere is more like a diner, the food is no nonsense but very tasty with large portions. Prices are very friendly as are the servers. They do take reservations so call ahead to avoid a long wait. But even if you wait, it's well worth it!

Fantastic! Reasonable!! The hostess and waitresses were very friendly and the food was served in a timely manner though it was so packed. The food was delicious and the portion was big. We loved the green jalapeno sauce served with the bread (complimentary), too. It is highly recommend although we rather conceal this good restaurant from the public!

We dined in Chalan twice, and both the food was amazing! I recommend you try their traditional Peruvian dishes. After all, why bother coming to a Peruvian restaurant to eat the stuff you can get anywhere else ;)

We dined here on night strictly based on reviews, and we were not disappointed. Our server, a very nice young lady, was very helpful. My steak was very good and my girlfriend loved her seafood dish. It got very crowded shortly after we arrived, and a lot of other places were half empty. Like others wrote, a very big dish... More

We ate here one evening while attending a conference at the Miami Beach convention center down the street. Wonderful food! HUGE portions (we actually shared!) great service and reasonably priced. Go! you won't be disappointed.

All I can say, is come, wait if you must and eat, eat and eat. Great food, fresh and fabulous. We plan on going back when in South Beach. The lunch specials are fabulous bargain, but even at full price as dinner is, the food so worth it.

There is a plethora of restaurants on south beach. Some are trendy, pricey and quite honestly, crappy. This restaurant is not big and was by far one of the best meals on my recent trip to Miami. The lomo saltado was absolutely amazing! The meat was tender, the fries were crispy and the flavors were perfect. The Peruvian beer was... More

So I've been to both Chalans one on the beach and the one on bird road both have great food and service. Of course when you get there you can't go wrong with ordering any of the chiveches.

We stopped here on a food tour and the food was amazing (except for the ceviche, but that's because I'm not a huge ceviche fan). We came back another day on our own and the service and food was just as good as when we came with the guide.

We red about this place, that went there to try, cause it's closo to courtyard south beach, and the foot was wonderful. We took a arroz with fish (peruvian paella) and sudado de pescato. All very good, very kind waitress and very fast service. You have to try!
