Peruvian at South Beach

Like other reviewer said, this is not a place for a romantic moment. This is a place you go to eat, you get a good Peruvian meal and the price good for South Beach standards.

Fine Cervice and Paella. Good prices. Worth more than one visit. Location is really good and service was fine.

My first time of exploring Peruvian cuisine. I enjoyed the choice I made grilled fish and shrimps in garlic sauce. I particularly enjoyed the sauce that was served with bread which we had for starter. I will definitely try this again. The staff are nice and look after their customers.

I came here based on the Tripadvisor reviews and left as a happy customer! If you're looking for romantic dining experience look elsewhere, if on the other hand you're looking for great food at good price you won't be dissapointed. Now for the food; Ceviche is not for everyone, so if you don't like raw fish, stay clear of that... More

I will keep this short because here is the one truth about this place, they treat you like family. The food here is great, location perfect, and staff incredible. If you have any issue at all they will fix it, as well as provide real conversation and stories. This place is a must visit authentic experience!

Chalan on the Beach is one of the best restaurant in Miami. At anytime I visit Miami I have lunches and dinners there. Their fish specialities, from the soups to the main courses are amazing. The prices are small compared with the freshness and quality of the food. Friendly personnel, quick service and most of all really good food.

Surprised by the many good reviews and in search for a somehow "authentic Peruvian" restaurant, I went there firstly with a friend of mine, then a group of few friends. Result: food is very poor. Sauces are just warmed up, rise has been sitting there all day, ceviche...not even close to being called so. Absolutely disappointing and nothing you could... More

The house made red sangria was awesome. So was the fish and octopus ceviche. We also had tacu tacu lomo fino al jugo. Everything was delicous and cooked perfectly, and the service was great. Very friendly staff made it even more pleasant. They seem to know what they're doing here.

We first visited this small restaurant on a food tour for a tasting. It was so good we had to go back for a meal. A small whole in the wall nothing fancy place but the wait staff was very friendly and attentive... The meal was excellent!! My husband and I had two different skirt steak dishes, delicious. We had... More

I was a bit timid on deciding to visit Chalan but both of us are very glad that we did. They started out with rolls with a salsa verde that grew in hotness after you ate it. The hotness wasn't a killer, though - it was hot and stayed there. We got the lomo saltado and the beef stew. Both... More
