This place is really tiny but it has a nice variety of food and what my family and I've had there so far has all been delicioso! My very, very picky 8yr old who normally doesn't care for traditional Latin fare loves the empanadas and churrasco so much, I was shocked she didn't scrape the chimichurri sauce clean off the... We had the "6 shots of cevice" as a starter. Although it didn't rival the Peruvian cevices I had before, they were pretty good. We had a mix of tapas as our main course (u tapas for 2). I liked them all, especially the artichokes. The corn tapa was OK, but I had better ones before too. The restaurant provided... More

We stopped into Bolivar to sit at bar and take advantage of their happy hour ½ price wine and two or three complimentary tapas. It was a pleasant experience with good service from our Italian bartender. We went back at non-happy hour time a few days later and ordered off the menu. Ceviche and selection of tapas did not disappoint.... More

Came here for the variety of latin cuisines (Venezuelan, Colombian, Ecuadorian, etc.). The appetizers were fantastic (try the tostones rellenos with shrimp!) so we continued with tapas instead of the large entrée options. The fried foods were greasier than expected but the pisco sours were delicious. Oh, you MUST try their 4leches cake. It is spectacular!

Bolivar is long and narrow, with a few tables on the street, also. Service is very good, beer selection is also very good. We dropped in for ceviche and empanadas in mid-afternoon after a trip to the Everglades. The empanadas have a corn meal crust which fries up crisply and come with a Scotch bonnet dipping sauce. The ceviche is... More

We came here on our last night in Miami beach and wish we'd found it earlier. We got a sharing platter of tapas to eat and each bit was so good! It didnt look that much on the plate, but it was very filling. I especially recommend the artichoke - possibly the best I've ever had! The waiter was really... More

One of the best dinner experience in my life. Atmosphere is amazing. So fast and friendly service. We tried pollo andino (grilled chicken breast with special bolivian sauce) and churrasco (a skirt beef at its best) For drink, they have excellent wines but we took beer (aguila from bolivia and chusque from peru) all were excellent. Aguila is light and... More

After reading the excellent reviews, we booked a table. We were greeted with a complimentary starter and we ordered one of their platters and soup. The soup was good but the pl;atter left a lot to be desired for. As an example the wings were too greasy and so was the seafood. It was a mix hence the average rating.... More

We were looking for somewhere 'different' to eat during our stay and after a short while on trip advisor we decided to give Bolivar a visit. On arrival we were seated quickly and given some complimentary nibbles while we browsed the menu, we decided to go for the platter of tapas and it was great. Some beautiful dishes to get... More

I can't say anything bad about this meal - it was so good! Maybe watch the spicy sauces if you are not into too much spice - I love hot, but the green sauce was hurting (but good!). The flank steak with chimichurri was really good. The raw fish with five sauces was really delightful. And the speciality cocktails -... More
