We came here and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, we had a table in the back. They had a singer who was great that night. People were dancing and it was fun to watch. The food was also great. The 6 shot ceviche was tasty , highly recommended. We ordered the six tapas selection for diner. The corn,... More

I have been here many times and always a happy costumer. But this time I felt I had to write so I can share how South America eats... the diversity of food in their menu is amazin and the presentation on each plate is very clean, their drinks are creative and serve in a very particular way and their house... Interesting menu and variety of South American and Latin cuisines including tapas, Peruvian drinks -a good pico sour. Live Colombian singer added to the experience. Our party including 3 vegetarians were very satisfied. Very reasonable prices, would definitely return.

The outdoor matre d usually annoys me but not at this place. He was helpful but not overbearing. We sat outside. The complimentary Tapas were delicious. We had the cheviche sampler, which was a great choice. Lots of food, lots of spirits (Sangria was great), relaxed atmosphere off of the main strip. Our waitress was from Columbia and she advised... We dined here Valentines day, which was also Presidents weekend and the Boat Show weekend. I wanted some place off the beaten path which would have a different flavor profile. It definitely lived up the reviews. We did order the 7 tapas platter and we enjoyed trying new flavors. The beef was fantastic. We recommend the fried artichoke as well.... More

Just came back from dinner. I had to give a review. South American fusion at it's.best. Most of the customers seem to choose the tapis as the appetizers. The waitress brought us a complimentary Tapis and we decided to order a couple of others and use that as our appetizer. The Argentinian skirt steak that both my wife and I... More

If you're looking for something a little different in South Miami the lovely people of "Bolivar" made our family feel so welcome. A fusion of Columbian & Bolivian foods, we opted for 7 x tapas-style 'bites' (€33) the chicken-pasta-veg soup (so good we ordered a 2nd) and a few Aguila's, a tasty easy, light Colombian beer. (Aguila means Eagle BTW).... More

After reading the great reviews on trip advisor we went to the Bolivar for dinner and were disappointed. The beef in our entree was really tough and the brownie dessert was dry.

How much are these people paying per review??? This is an embarrassment to Hispanic food. Let's start...... I ordered a mix ceviche (fish and shrimp)... I got cooked shrimp cocktail from Publix with a lime and mango sauce, no fish. The texture of the shrimp was of beef jerky and the taste was of.... Well... Shrimp cocktail from Publix. I... More
