The chicken and plantains are my favorites at Las Olas. They give you a hearty helping of chicken, rice, beans and plantains, which is more than enough for a hearty lunch or dinner. They also have some solid espresso and other meat dishes.

Was out of pocket for the week way up north and had a try of Cubano in Orlando. Could not wait to get back to Las Olas for the mejor and authetico. Always busy but worth the wait. Call ahead for pickup if you need to rush out.

Based on excellent TA reviews, we went for lunch during the week and there was quite a crowd! A lot of locals eating/ordering...which is typically a good indication that the food will be great. My husband and I were not disappointed! Again based on reviews we each got an empanada and split a Cuban with a side of yellow rice.... More

If you only have time for one thing. .. forget the beach and go here. The place is hustling crazy busy at lunchtime. We atein the car and had to go back in for seconds. We took our carryout all the way back to michigan where we will dream of this yumminess until we meet again. Chicken empanadas the bomb.... More

An old diner that has been around forever and I know why. Service and food was very good. Cuban Sandwich and black bean soup, can't go wrong. Nothing fancy here, just a cool place. Would eat here regularly if I lived nearby. Locals joint. Keep it up!

I wanted to find a good authentic take out place, well I found it! I stayed at the Lord Balfour hotel, which was a short walking distance away. The food was incredible, the place is immaculate, small seating area if you'd like to dine in. Most customers were taking out. I had two different chicken dishes and the empanadas are... More

Love this place. Found it on yelp and discovered that it is a very popular place with the locals. The Cubano sandwich here is absolutely delicious. You can not go wrong. Can't wait to dine here again.

We hit upon Las Olas by sheer coincidence. We were hungry and eager for an early evening bite, en passant. As we were peeking through the windows, an enthusiastic Miami man told us we should tarry no longer but go inside and place our oder. The food, he said, was fantastic. His friends who lived just around the corner and... More

Passed her on our way to get the bus downtown and there was a long queue of local at the window so we stopped on our way back and bought some empanadas for a snack, they were great. while we were waiting to be served we realised that they did meals as well so decided to come back later in... More

We had half a day to spend in Miami Beach after a cruise and my goal was to have the best Cuban sandwich in all of Miami. I did some TA searching and Google searching and came across Las Olas Cafe. I was a little nervous but so glad I took the leap and went. My husband and I both... More
