Description: ALTAMARE is the new restaurant by highly-acclaimed restaurateur Claudio Giordano and veteran chef Simon Stojanovic. The warm and inviting restaurant designed by Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque features an open kitchen, chef’s table, intimate bar and private dining room. Simon Stojanovic, formally of Michael’s Genuine, puts a special spin on the menu featuring locally caught, pristine seafood, organic meats and house made pastas. As many menu items feature daily-caught fish, menu items are subject to change. Altamare is located on the west end of Lincoln Road, just steps away from the new promenade and public plaza, perfect for an after-dinner stroll.

Host claimed bottle of wine was $30 in fact it was $50!!!When confronted, he claimed that "you re not going to find a wine this good for $30". Laughable, given the wine was average at best! Food was average but nothing special, bill was insane!!!! STAY AWAY!!There are way nicer restaurants with friendlier staff in Miami, no reason to go... More

The location is at the end of Lincoln Road, so not the happening scene that the rest of the pedestrian walk Lincoln Road is, but it is very good Italian food, and the service was good, as well. We have probably tried a dozen Italian restaurants in Miami Beach, and this was the best we found. It isn't the tourist... More

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night in April 2014. We were staying in south beach at the surfcomber hotel and the concierge recommended Altamare to us. The concierge booked a table for 8:30 pm while I was with her. So Saturday night came around, we went to Altamare ......... The front of house hostess claimed she had no... More

Definitely get the octopus appetizer. The restaurant is known for their great fish main courses. The restaurant is at the end of Lincoln Rd. just far enough away from the chaos of Lincoln Rd. It actually is quite and romantic.

Just ok, nothing impressive, food was ok. Service is questionable... didn't need 3 waiters to serve me, one is enough. No WOW factor. The only WOW was when I received the bill... Ehh. Didn't really leave satisfied.

Staff and management very rude. Avarage quality of food but super high bill. The waiter insisted to bring us allegedly amazing oisters that hadn't any particular connotations. Worst service I've experienced in my life. At 9.30 they started to hurry up and didn't even give us enough time to complete our meal. Moreover, additional 18% for service is standard. Therefore,... This restaurant came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed - superb seafood. We had v. good, fresh ceviche and delicious black shrimp ravioli with lobster sauce. Equally good were the scallop carpaccio and linguini with golden crab. This restaurant was all it was supposed to be and more - chic contemporary interior and you can eat outside if warm enough.... Altamare is a wonderful place for a variety of fresh seafood in Miami, not just because of the quality of the fish, but because of the consistently solid service. The Altamare soup, with it's ginger broth base is a favorite as is the raw oyster selection. They are at their best when their fish is prepared simply--grilled with herbs rather... More
