While on a sightseeing tour we drove by Ago. The tour guide informed us that it was owned by celebrities and that it was very difficult to get a table. We called and were able to get a table right away. So much for difficulty of getting a reservation. The cocktails were excellent, I highly recommend the peach martini. The... More

It's South Beach. It's in the Shore Club. It's THE location for sure and it doesn't lack the SOBE atmosphere. I love italian cooking and they do their job really well! Had some amazing homemade pasta and the whole dinner was a good charm for the rest of the evening. Like I said, "it's South Beach"...

Ago used to be an excellent Italian restaurant overlooking the swimming pool of the Shore Club Hotel. For unknown reasons it recently closed and the company that manages the hotel took over the premises. The restaurant changed name, too. 80% of Ago's staff left, including all the cooks. It is now just another hotel restaurant with no soul and very... More

Food, wine and service were ALL excellent. Ate inside due to hot weather...and the inside decor seemed rather spartan instead of Italian. The good news was that it serves dinner late even during the week, as we went there at 11:30 on a Wednesday.

When we asked our concierge for fine dining Italian food close to our hotel, the recommendation was Ago Restaurant. The setting on the terrace was perfect, the view on the garden beautiful. But that was it. The food was defenitely not fine dining, but more farmstyle Italian, and to our opinion badly cooked. In our group of 8 the food... More

Amazing breakfast. I only went here once for breakfast and had the French toast on challah bread with carmelized bannanas in rum sauce with whipped topping and macadamia nuts. This was the best french toast I have ever tried. My friend had the oatmeal with berries which looked very fresh and was tasty as well. The service was fast and... More

Ago on Melrose in West Hollywood a favorite amongst most people in LA (and visitors). So we tried Ago in The Shore Club (Miami). BLAND food.. Flavorless & the seafood risotto was too fishy. The server kind of had an attitude. The restaurant is more condusive to conversation, whereas NoBu (one room over) is loud & fun. It seems that... More
