Surprise find. Now a favorite

Found accidentally but name lured me in. Parking in back entry into garden dining area. Menu is really good. Food amazing. Salads great. Service is good. Prices a little bit high for frequent dining but it's good.

I've been eating here for over 10 years. It's a quaint, family owned restaurant within minutes of the hustle and bustle of Brickell. The menu is very diverse, all of the food is extremely fresh and the pastas are all homemade. The passion fruit iced tea is the best in all of Miami. The ambience is like eating a small,... More

This used to be a neighborhood gem. It's shabby, old, the food is just passable and although the prices are very good you get what you pay for.

My wife and I live close-by in the Brickell area to dozens of restaurants. California Bistro is by far our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and the food is consistently very good at reasonable prices. If you have not tried their pizza, you are missing a treat as well as their fresh seafood and pasta dishes. We... More

It is hard to distinguish in the mid-range market of bistro/restaurants. There are too many places that hawk for a quick and cheap bite with apparently tasty combinations. The problem is how the actual cooking is: is the ingredient fresh, is the dish loaded up fat, salt and sugar to jack up the flavor? This restaurant is different: the ingredients... More

I ve eaten here several times while traveling to Miami. Food has always been good, as have the portion sizes. I ve always left feeling full! Service is always friendly and welcoming. They seem to take pride in their meals and relationships with patrons. Prices are fair for that part of Miami.

Each meal starts with a small round of the bistro's homemade bread, a sweet soft loaf served with a wonderfully olive tapenade, after our meal, the owner, Estella came over to chat and make sure we enjoyed our food, This restaurant feels like home this is why we go twice a month. THE SERVICE IS REALLY GOOD.

Lunch with cousins to celebrate my sister's birthday. We ordered different entrees and all were top notch quality and presentation. Best choices were the tamale appetizer and pumpkin ravioli. My chicken piccata was out of this world. Good bread and pasta, all home made. This is a hidden gem near the Brickell area worth the drive to enjoy great food... More

We decided to try out this restaurant on probably the busiest day of the year - Valentine's Day. Not so sure if that was a great idea. As soon as we stepped in, I was a little taken aback by the brash hostess but decided to forget about it as service tends to be generally abysmal in Miami. The bistro... More
