This is pizza place in a shopping mall. We had really liked it when in Florida in 2004 and our kids only ate pizza. We returned last month for the first time in ten years. The pizza is good and the garlic rolls are very good. You will get fair value for your money here, but it is not a... More

It usually doesn't take much to at least keep me somewhat satisfied at a plain vanilla Italian restaurant, but Mario's did not meet even that low bar. Service and food were even more mediocre than the atmosphere. Not terrible, just blah!

Stopped by for a quick lunch at the Doral location. Instead of pizza, I was in the mood for a Chicken Parmesan sub. I didn't think you could mess up a sandwich, but this was the WORST one I've ever eaten. The chicken was over cooked and looked and tasted old. It was chewing, had a weird brown color, and... More

Ate solo this time as i was working in the area and stopped in for a quick bite. The spaghetti and meatballs came in a bowl, First thing I noticed was that the sauce was orange color. The sauce did not taste like tomato, mostly salty, just didnt taste like an Italian sauce at all. The pasta was mushy and... More

Mario the Baker never is going to see my money again, food is not good and the manager in the Aventura-FL store is very impolite .

My friend and I were tired after a day of sightseeing and we had stopped at a small strip mall to go to the liquor store and drug store. We noticed this small restaurant and decided to try it after I told my friend: "It's hard to mess up pasta." I am sorry to say that they did just that.... More

The rolls have always been great Today we had the pasta fazool soup ( canned tomato soup w blended in beans and a few pieces of pasta) , a side of meatballs ( didn't seem house made), very salty sausage and peppers w a side of pasta you can make at home So make your own pasta but get the... More

We hotel gave us a menu from Mario the Baker after we asked for a local pizza place. We ordered a large extra cheese pizza ...over-priced at $15.95 (paper thin crust & hardly any sauce, very disappointed) a Spaghetti & meatball $9.95. The meatballs were the frozen type, I was really hoping for homemade (and there was no cheese on... More

Recently discovered Mario the Baker, and since then I am a huge fan. Their pizza is fresh, delicious and a good price. I have ordered from them about 3 times in the past month. I have no complaints and the pizza really is incredibly good. Would definitely recommend!

The pizza had a thick crust, enough cheese, but was too salty. A medium pizza should be enough for two otherwise is too expensive for one. We also had the tiramisu which was subpar. I could not taste the coffee or the hazelnut liqueur, it was kind of bland.
